I think that someone needs to see if they can throw a disc across the Ohio River! That would be sweet to see.

Better get an Aerobie. That's about a quarter of a mile.

Or go a couple hundred miles up stream were it's a little thinner.

John Bartram, Randy Oliver and I tried to throw across the Kentucky River and none of us made it. Of course we were throwing our crap discs. I do believe that the MIGHTY OHIO is wider than the Kentucky River.

Trouble is the river is one mighty gravity well... maybe if you shot one from elevation like in New Richmond or something with a nice right to left crosswind(or tailwind for Craig).

It could be done if we removed the locks system. The ohio river used to be so narrow that it froze annually.
Anyone got some pull with the army corps of engineers?

I won't be throwing it across the river but I will be attempting to throw from end zone to end zone through the cross bars at Nippert Stadium around noon today. Look for it on "The Point". Paul DeNu's buddy is taping it. Not sure when it will air.

Hope you are using a Buzzz with a little hyzer.
That would be an awesome "pick up" game. You could play HORSE, from long distances, crazy angles, using different discs.
Freddy, if you can't hit it, just let me know. I'll come over and do it with a Wizard, then I'll do it with a softball!

It's been changed to Mt Storm because of parking issues at noon.

The Point is on Channel 20, the CW, on most of the Time Warner networks on this side of the river. It usually airs at noon but it's on at 3:30 today because of the Louisville/Syracuse football game.

Fred,
I didn't see you on TV. Did you make it throught the goal post? How many throws did it take? What did you use? Did you throw your 360? Is it harder than it looks like it would be? I am sure you threw the your roc through on your first throw.

It was soccer goals instead of goal posts. Big woods behind the fence so I couldn't throw too hard and it took about 4 tries to put it in the goal. I did throw one over the goal into the woods, found it but it took a while. The interview went ok, about an hour's worth of interview for a 30 second spot on "The Point". It was fun. I did some freestyling for them but it didn't make it, the Toothbrush wasn't impressive enough I guess.
