Not yet, we should probably get on that, huh? I guess we need to rehash the discussion of where to have club meetings....at a restaurant-type place so people can order food, or should we have it at a meeting room somewhere? Let's hear it....

Personally for me the places where we can eat work out well. But both types are fine. Maybe a mixture of meeting places throughout the year.

Why don't we pick a place for the Feb meeting & then discuss it there. If it's at a library & the meeting runs long & we have to leave at 8:45, we can finish in the parking lot.

I guess Nick has not-so-subtly voted no on the library idea. :smile What about one of the restaurants in Rookwood pavilion, Stewart Rd. exit off I-71. Fairly centrally located. Or maybe Willie's in Covington, right by the river (President Liz's backyard).... Or Kevin B's sponsor joint down in Florence, although that would be quite a long drive for some.

How about one location for all our meetings, get dinner and drinks and they could be the major sponsor for the flying pig. We support them and they kick back some to the tournament instead of going someplace different every other month. I bet Florence Gyros and wings would go for it. I can't think of anyplace on the clean side of the river that would do that.

Fred, I would love to support that restaurant, as they seemed to have been a great source of sponsorship, the problem with the Florence Wings place is that not everyone lives that far south (some people live 1 hour + away), how about we try and go after a local chain, say LaRosa's? (they have good food and beer) I just checked out their website and they have a link for sponsorship requests, I think if we contacted them now about support for the Pig, we may have a good shot. We could have our meetings in a central location (St. Benard or Kenwood) and emphasize the fact that we will be having regular meetings at their establishment and bringing $ in for them as well. I tried to call yesterday to see if any locations had separate meeting rooms, but I was put on hold for about 5 mins before I gave up. What does everyone think about that?

If the meeting is at a location where we can all hear, be heard, and get some business done, I think we'll be hard pressed to have a meeting run more than 90 minutes. Maybe go to the library downtown, have the meeting, then find a local watering hole?

La Rosas sounds good to me. JP Mayer works at one when home from school. I'll contact him and see what he can do.

LaRosa's St. Bernard, 5 minutes off the Mitchell St. exit off I-75, dining room open until 10pm on Mondays....if it's a corporate store and not an individually owned franchise, sponsorship will be a lot more attainable.

The Norwood LaRosa's is about 30 secs off the Lateral, in between 71 and 75.

I think Larosa's is a pretty good idea. I know some of them have meeting rooms or areas they can mark off for parties, groups, etc.

They have also supported sports in the past albeit mostly established High School sports. Potential for sponsorship is definitely not out of the question.

I called LaRosa's the other day and was told that they have "party rooms", where a certain minimum amount of food/etc needs to be purchsed in order to reserve. So, if anyone knows of a LaRosa's that have a separate room/area, please let me know, otherwise, is everyone okay with Norwood LaRosa's for the 2/11 club meeting @ 7:00 pm?

Try the main Larosa's on Boudinot - I thought they had some smaller rooms. Not sure but I know our team at GCB met there for a Christmas lunch one time.

I think that the upstairs at Barleycorn's Five Mile House would be perfect for us....................... too bad they closed yesterday for a 4 month remodel. Speaking of which, did you hear that the Olive Garden on Mall Road closed? I didn't see that one comin...

Is this place north or south of the Lateral? It's just south of the lateral...on Montgomery, right across the the street from the hotel.
