Interesting article. Green? Can be - but only if courses are designed properly. Think - old #7 and #8 at Mt. Airy.

Greener than ball golf for sure. When all the ash trees died at Hudson Mills the club spent money on replanting more trees than were lost. And to deter the vandals (punks) they have started greens fees of two dollars per day to play or $50/year.
