Just got off the phone with Jason Boerger with Butler County MetroParks, who said that they have 9 baskets from a Girl Scout camp that haven't been used in years, I wasn't able to get much information from him (i.e. what model the baskets are, what condition they are in, etc), as he had to go to a meeting, but he did inform me that they are interested in installing a 9-hole course and will most certainly consider expanding to 18 if they see results ($5 annual park pass). This park is 400-acres, here is a link to it: http://www.butlercountymetroparks.org/index.cfm?page=rentschlerForest looks like some pretty nice land. He is interested in meeting with club members to discuss course design as he is not familiar with disc golf. So, again, I'm asking for volunteers to meet with him - most likely one day towards the end of the month.  PM me and let me know, which day is better for you during the week, thanks!

Okay - so I've set up a meeting with Jason - it will be Tuesday, June 3rd @ 5:00 pm at the park - 5701 Reigart Rd, Hamilton, OH 45011, please let me know if you plan on coming, I'd like to get a head count, thanks!

This is a reminder for anyone who can make it to this meeting to come on out, I'm really not sure exactly what the itinerary is, but I know that this guy knows very little about disc golf and will need much guidance.

Well, unfortunately, it doesn't look good, he has 9 baskets that have single plastic covered chains with a shallow basket (not sure what the official name/title of these baskets are), the parks department has no money to invest - that means, no money to do any clearing of the trees, update the baskets, etc. The parks guy - Jason Boerger didn't realize the preferred disc golf hole is in the woods, rather than out in an open area. We did discuss looking into Forest Run Preserve in Ross Township - does anyone know anything about this park?
