My apologies if this has been posted / asked before.
Does GCFDA offer a handicap / rating system?
Is there a list of SSA's (scratch scoring average) for the courses in the Tri State?
I know I am not very good, but like ball golf I want to get a handicap / index going. This gives me some goals to shoot for and hopefully track my progression to better scores.

there is a ratings system on the results page, check the disclaimer though.

Unless I am missing something, the Results page just breaks down the scoring for the year long Course Challenge Series.

The whole handicap/rating system thing never really worked that well. Paul Dumont wrote the original formulas, but said he was never really happy with how it worked. And I never really felt like it was worth trying to improve it, personally. One of the main problems is that year to year at each course challenge there are permanent course changes, temp baskets/tees, or wildly different weather conditions. So there's no consistent data to work with.
If you want to get an idea of what a good score is, you can always review tournament results from the previous years. That's the best we've got I'm afraid.
