This is some possible good news.  Warren County is in negotiations to purchase Armco park.  The park is huge, 310 acres and has some 30 shelters, a ball golf course, baseball fields and a bunch of other stuff.  This would be a great place to put a disc golf course.  We'll try to see if we can convince them to put a disc golf course in here if they end up buying the park.

I guess the deal is pretty much sealed. Turtlecreek township still has to pass their portion of commitment to pay for the park but other than that the park should be come public very soon.

Turtlecreek Twp. did vote yes for a donation of $1 million to the county to help secure this park. So, I think there's a very good chance that we should have enough influence to get a course there. The deal is very close to being done but, I don't believe it's finalized yet. There's some very good areas that would make a great course.

I guess this park is now public. I haven't tried to go into the park but it is now open to all instead of just armco employees.  The following article says they plan to keep the park as is for the foreseeable future.  Not sure if that is good news or not.  Anyone have any news from the grape vine about this park?
