Ironically, A J Jolly contacted me about getting tee signs replaced for the course. Below is the list of old hole sponsors that I haven't got a hold of and have first bid to responsor their hole. Sponsorship is $25.00 which will have your name or business name on the tee sign AND will stay on the tee sign FOR THE LIFE OF THAT SIGN.
If I don't hear from the old sponsors by the end of the week, that hole will be made available for new sponsorship. Any hole saying available is available now. All other holes have been sponsored. Money goes toward course maintenance in Northern Ky courses. Please contact anyone you see and let them know. I'd appreciate it.
#3 - Jeff Eades
#4 - Bob Herbert
#5 - Available
#6 - Derek and Lisa Warner and Kids
#7 - Kathy Due
#9 - Available
#10 - THE WRECKING CREW
#12 - Available
#14 - Dr Rick and Sylvia
#15 - Hank and winton woods gang
#17 - Aviailable
#18 - Hankster
FYI - we proposed a few changes to the park director and are waiting for the go ahead. After hole #5 teeing off the hill to the basket across the street and to the left. Then eliminating #12 and making #11 a longer throw through the woods to basket #12. We feel that both holes would add some difficulty, challenge and fun to the course.
Please post here if interested in sponsoring a hole. First come first served

Any ideas where the new holes would be? You would need two new ones if two are to go right? which ever one is still open i will sponsor.

These are the sponsors that have contacted me so far. There are still a few available if anyone is interested. If anyone can contact Hank or Derek and Lisa Warner to see if they are still interested I would appreciate it. Agentdozzer, the new holes are explained on the top of this page. Thanks everyone to the continued support to northern Ky courses. We will be purchasing lots of grass seed to try to keep erosion down on courses across the river.

Agentdozzer...sounds like after hole five (the shot up the hill) there will be a new tee shot going from on top the hill throwing over the road twards hole 6 tee pad. Then, taking out 12 and making that one hole. By adding the new shot off the hill and taking away hole 12, it is still 18 holes. I assume this is what you wanted to know.
Fred...HECK YES...I am not sure why the course doesn't get more publicity. It is kind of out of the way for most, but the setting must be one, if not, the best frisbee golf settings in Cincy. By making a few changes, AJ would become a very nice pro like course. Thanks a bunch F.S.

Hey Fred, I sent Lisa an email - she said they want to keep their hole. Do they need to send a check?

Yes Liz, thanks. Ask Lisa to shoot me an email so I can get their address. Obviously the hole numbers are going to change. After #5, #6 will have you throwing across the street and left. #7 will be old #6 and so on until #12 which is using old #11's tee and throwing to #12's basket and the rest are numbered the same. Looks like we are sold out. Thanks to everyone that has contributed, that will buy a good amount of grass seed. Below is the list of final sponsors:
#1 – Fred and Joy Salaz - pd #2 – Doug Aulick - #3 - Jeff Eades - pd #4 - Bob Herbert - #5 - Dayton Disc Golf - #6 – Agentdozzer - Pd #7 – Derek and Lisa Warner and Kids - #8 – Not being replaced – new 2008 #9 - KRALY’S KORNER – Steve Goshorn - Pd #10 – Don Lohman, Ken Artist - #11 – Not being replaced, new 2008 #12 - Donavan - #13 – Not being replaced, new 2008 #14 - Dr Rick and Sylvia Voakes and Dexter - pd #15 - Northern Kentucky Disc Golf Club - Pd #16 – Keith Dailey - Pd #17 – The Discin’ Denus – Paul & Jim - Pd #18 – Adam Jones -
Thanks everyone. Anyone interested in helping with installing the signs and clearing up #12 fairway, installing a sleeve for #6 and moving tee sign post, shoot me an email and I will try to organize a work day. The parks will install the new tee pad, which NKDGC is paying for. I am getting knee surgery Monday and don't know how long I will be out. Good times, again.

AJ Jolly's tee signs are up and the new holes have been officially changed. The tee pad for #6 will be installed on Monday. Thanks to Steve Goshorn for braving the cold/wind on Thursday night to help cut out and level the area for the new pad on new #6. Also Steve and his stepson cleared out the new #12(not an easy hole). They will be the course pros for AJ Jolly(since they live close by). Thanks to everyone that sponsored a tee sign. They turned out really nice. If you haven't paid, do so soon. Thanks.

Fred, that's crazy!
I just set up an 8:30 AM Tee Time with my brother and nephew for tomorrow morning at A.J. I guess I'll get to surprise them with the new sign. If I would have checked the site before I called them it wouldn't have been posted yet and I would have been surprised. Thanks for the update. Look forward to seeing the new No. 6 (even if it doesn't have a tee pad yet) and the elongated No. 12 wood hole.

I can say I survived the water holes on my first trip to AJ but man the wind was very challenging. Hole #2 is just a crazy hole, getting the over my nerves to throw that one is what disc golf is about. I think the potential for lost discs is what hurts this course as far as popularity. Very beautiful park otherwise, the new signage was nice.

I went out to AJ for the first time yesterday. Man is it beautiful. Hole number two is awesome. Make sure you bring an overstable driver as you do not want to float on holes #2, #6 and #8. I might get more daring on my next trip and go for a duece on #2 but I will bring sandals and a bathing suit just in case.

Brian, You should have been out at the course challenge when the wind was blowing straight off the lake at like 40mph. It didn't matter how good you thought you were...or how smart you thought you were...you almost always guessed wrong. I saw drives WAY out in the lake..and I saw people with their spike hyzers ending up near the tennis courts...yep...way up there..pushed by the winds. The course is absolutely beautiful in the spring and in the fall. Go back in late September, early October when the leaves change colors. It's a very fun course.
I always had an issue with the two dinker wooded holes...but now I love the way the two were combined into one..and made much longer..and much more open...and I love the new shot down the hill in the open....maybe hole #12...I forget the number...but I love those two new additions.
