Ball golf/disc golf challenge is cancelled. Mark from Edgewood Electric will try to find time to reschedule later this year.

You're really going to play on the Idlewild course after all this rain Fred? I'm really surprised at that. lol

We couldn't get out today and get the course ready but will try again tomorrow. Baskets will be moved in the morning, weather permitting. It looks like it might be dry for the ball golf/disc golf challenge. I will call the pro in the morning and see if we are still on and post here.

The course was rather like a sponge after the drought this Summer. It shouldn't be too bad- I played it in the rain and it was fine. Good luck, everyone!

The field is full. The course is ready. Idlewild says "Bring it". If anyone has a broom with large bristles bring it with you tomorrow so we can clean off the tee pads. The leaves have started to fall and some of the tee pads may be slick. Also, the bridges are very slick so be careful when you cross them.
Good luck everyone, even you Keith.

Anyone who played yesterday up yet? Idlewild must have worn them out. Radar seemed to show the rain just off to the east all day...was it?

I think Gary Costa and Cyrus Fuhrman won open. I'm not sure who took advanced. 61 from best shot was the hot score, don't know about best hole.
The course was super hard with OB everywhere. Left, right and long on 1 was OB. The pin on 2 was farther left. 3's basket was farther down and everything left of the creek was OB. 4 was 200 feet longer. 11 had a double mando at the Y gap. 12 was 40 feet longer. 15 had the flowers OB the whole way down on both sides. It was brutal out there but made for on hell of a challenge, not to mention lots of mud and teepads covered in wet leaves.

Yes, Cyrus and Gary won with a 62/65, then one stroke later was a 3 way tie for 2nd between Ferrara/Hollingshead, Cox/Diemler, and the out of town team wearing matching blue shirts. 5th was Dutch/Paul Oman. The course was way tougher with the changes, and tee pads were slick, but at least it didn't rain.

Young and Watts - 502 - Louisville/Brandenburg - were the other 2nd place team - the blue shirts were Pennington/Reesor - Louisville Allstars, Mickey Pennington set the current course record with a 68 - hot round we shot a 64 for best score - any rounds better then that?
Fred - whenever you get the video on dvd i would love a copy i'm sure jeremy, mick and kyle would also. have to see that fairway ace on 17 again on a big screen!

What happened with the results? The results from last year are still screwy too.

Jeremy, we sent the results in the Monday after the Ky States. I'm pretty sure the PDGA doesn't have a program to do results for doubles. We had the same problem last couple of years. If you need some info let me know. You guys from louisville made the majority of the nati video. It should be ready for viewing on the nati website soon.

They always take awhile for the Fling-A-Thing Pro/Am Doubles too. I always just thought that was because it's a Pro/Am. Oh well. I'd LOVE to see that video. Did Martin's fairway ace make the footage?
