ESPN U wich is their collegiate station announced on Saturday that they will start telivising DG next month because of the overwhelming publicity of the sport. I think it is channel 125 on my cable.

University. Its an ESPN channel dedicated for just collegiate athletics. Obviously they are stretching a little bit here but any TV coverage of Disc Golf is better than none.

I looked also, it would be 148 on dish network but it isn't part of my normal subscription. Oh well.

Magically around 2am it will be on when you aren't able to sleep. Other than that you'll have to pay attention to your guide.

Today on ESPN's Sports Nation they had Disc Golf from Anchorage, AK in their top 5 video section. The show's co-host Colin Cowherd declared that although it looks like a flying saucer until it hit just goes in it looks " cool" and expressed his desire to be a disc golfer. I'm going to their web site to see if the video is there. I'll add the link , brb.

2/2210 5:45 am - Channel 9 had about a 2 minute segment about the "Quad City Ice Bowl". Mentioned about 1000 lbs of food donations were raised. Showed some drives and disc filled bags. Some players must have brought sleds and sledded down the fairway. Larry Hanley said that those are not dollar store frisbees and there's different ones for different throws. All in all, a well done accurate piece.
