Putt: Any throw from 10 meters or less as measured from the rear of the marker disc to the base of the hole is considered a putt.

Thanks Lee and Nati(GoBlue),  I loved, the clinic. I'm not sure if my jumop putt(putt-jump) is legal- I need video of myself putting... Fred who was that guy that did the promo vids for you?

Yeah, good video. I tried his technique in my basement, and it is really tough to get the hang of. I thought I knew how to push putt before until I realized he is putting no wrist into it at all. One interesting thing I caught in the video is that Feldberg said he breaks his wrist when he spin putts. I spin putt, but I lock my wrist straight with the snap. I don't think I'd have any accuracy if I followed through with my wrist like he describes.
I have a camera capable of slow motion, finn. It would be interesting to see how many people jump putt illegally. I may be one of them.

I had a chance to play with HB Clark while in BG this weekend. You should see his push putt. It's like a reverse turbo. Never seen anything like it.

Great discription, Phil. I have studied HB's putt during warm-up rounds and couldn't replicate it with any effectiveness. My pitch putt range is 7 ft. already, lol.

just to start back up a conversation that went on at the end of landmark if you look at the video of Dave at 48 minutes 15 seconds he shows how his step putt outside 30 feet looks. For anyone who plays in PDGA tournaments I recommend watching it. Also for anyone who would attempt to help educate others on properly distributing information to players about what is legal and not legal they should watch this. It can be very unnerving to tell someone they are doing something wrong if you aren't quite sure of the rules. This is what I have been practicing and it is very helpful.

The bottom line for me Matt is why call it, unless it is obvious. There is no advantage to jump-putting anyhow if you are off the ground your accuracy suffers.

I didn't care for Dave's descriptions of a legal vs. a non-legal putt. A video rule-book is a brilliant idea, you know, esp. with internet access and all.

really john have u never seen a good jump putter its just as good as a reqular putt. yes if ur trying it from 100 feet its going to suffer but from 40 its the same motion with more power. or at least it should be.

Why do you need more power to sail a 170G or 175G disc 40 feet? I'm a noodle arm and never saw a need to jump putt. If it makes it more accurate for some one then it would be good, but I believe it takes away accuracy and only adds unnecessary power.

What i was refering to was it makes no sense to me that leaving the ground before putting would help at all. Dave was saying it should be putt-jump not jump-putt to be legal. Feldberg just wants the dealy accurate jump putters(Geoff Bennet comes to mind) from 40+ feet to suffer because he has a walking putt from that distance.

And I used that walking putt from 32'10"+ yesterday with great results....too bad I played the first round blind on a course I've never seen before...but should have played before...it's just right down the road...Charlie Vet is no place to cash if you've never seen it before...especially with all the added O.B. I think the video helped me out immensely with my game.
