Did I read a year or so ago, that they plan to have a disc golf course at this park sometime?
Anyone else hear of this and know the status?

The ribbon cutting for the park is Saturday.

Just wondering......

I got an answer back that one is in the plan.
To see layout of park and disc area to be, go to this link and click on the top right image.

The disc golf area is to the top left.

The only thing that I've still heard about this course is what you have posted. Has anyone played it yet or have any more information?

It was stated it was going to be opened in stages. Disc golf was not in the first stage.

I asked if there was a timeline for the disc golf area and got this response:

'Not at this time, but it’s definitely in the plan.'

There is currently an online survey for Anderson Parks. It is intended for users of the parks, but it looks like you could add your zip code as an 'other'. I think they'd rather see folks from the Mt. Washington or Anderson Twp. area, but how do they know...

Go to www.tinyurl.com/atparks
Theres a test box where you can add what kind of future additions you'd like to see. I'd suggest putting something about Disc Golf, Frisbee golf, at Johnson Hills Parks. Maybe even something about the Woodland Mound course and it's too crowded, busy, tiny, outdated, etc.
Be a squeeky wheel!

BTW, I talked to the Anderson Park Director last week for a while about disc golf in the park. He says it is still the plan but we'll have to design around some major issues (boy scout area, walking/bike trail, etc.) I've been walking around the park for years and believe we can work around that. They just dropped a million $ on the artifical turf soccer/football fields at Riverside Park recently. They've got $ for the course.
