I was just wandering if i donated some some plastic 55gal drums for trashcans would they accept them and or let them be put in out on the course by a few of the tees.
There is no trash cans besides the ones in the parking lot and most of the trash i have picked up has been left right by the tees.
and if the park says they dont want to be responsible for the removal of bags from the cans i will volunteer to check them and carry the fulls ones up to the parking lot cans once a week , i dont mind to even provide the bags if needed.
I would think cans by Tees 3,6,9,12,14,18 would be enough to keep virtualy all the trash off the course even the beer cans

I just talked to Larry Easterly, Warren County Park Director. He too is concerned about all the trash out there, in fact he called me first. I advised him to put some trash cans out there at least every 3 or 4 holes apart. Unfortunately, he does not want to put trash cans in the woods there. He thinks they will look bad and he doesn't have the staff hours to empty them. He's going to put a sign up asking people not to litter.
I think that the guys that are careless enough to just chuck their empty beer/soda cans wherever they please, are still going to do it. They'd probably do it even if there was a trash can staring them right in the face. Those people suck, and they should die, but there's nothing we can do I guess.
So, all I can say to people that play Gulley is, it would really help the course if you would bring a trash bag every now and then, and do some clean up as you play. Thanks.

The rough was rough yesterday. Lots of thorns and poison ivy and bushy trees. Spent a while looking for discs. Found some and lost some. Heads up!

Hey is that dog (Chief) still around the neighborhood? Have not seen him in a while when playing there. He was always good to lay right by our throws. Very nice dog!

Is he a golden retriever? Last year I was there by myself and a derranged looking golden retirever ran up to me and I was actually scared for a minute. He followed me around the last few holes growling occasionaly. He had no collar and looked like he had been lost for days, so I called animal control and they sent a sheriff out to pick him up.

no chief (if I remember) is black and white and a border collie or such that lives in the property just as you come in. When you throw, he loves to find the disc and lay right by it. A very friendly and loving dog.

Warren County Parks turned 16 and 17 into a hiking trail. The signs for the hiking trail don't have any sort of cautionary statement or mention disc golf at all. I wouldn't be surprised to see the baskets pulled.

We played gulley last night. Pretty crowded for that park. When we were finishing up 17, a group of adults and a dog came down the trail (17) against us but no problems. We let them walk through and played on. But there are no signs warning trail patrons. So not sure, but no signe fo the holes/or signs being removed. Had not played course in a while and were amazed that 18 is now just a open grassy field. Remember a couple years back when it was high weeks and a path through it.

Does anyone know if the dog chief still lives out there? Have not seen him on the course in a long time.
