The course is laid out. I will be out at Devou by 7:00. If you have a basket you will see me, I will let you know where we want each basket. We hope to have a number of people on the course to help people set up and locate the locations. Thanks for bringing your basket, and I will see you out there Sunday.

Great job out there guys. Thanks to everyone who brought baskets. The rough was very rough - as we expected. The event ran really smoothly and the course was a blast to play. There were lots of other park users who seemed very interested in what was going on. Hopefully it's a step forward towards putting in a permanent course.

A big thanks to all who were involved in the tourney. The course was fun but challenging and ran really well. Working with Dan was great and makes me want to be more involved.

Devou CCS was a team effort. Course design was done by Dan Bayless, Jeff Eades, Jeff Worley and myself. Marking the course tee and basket placements and coordinating the course set-up was done by Tony Vincent, Jeff Worley and myself. Dan Bayless handle pre-registration and Dan and Troy Ison handled sign-ups the day of the tournament. Thanks to all the people who brought baskets and helped set them up. The Devou CCS came off without a hitch because of all who were involved.

Everyone involved did a great job. That was a great layout and I had two good groups to play with.

While I would have enjoyed get more groups, I have posted a number of the Pictures that I took on Sunday in the gallery section. Dave, do you have an e-mail address that we could send messages to? This way we can thank them and propose the idea of a permanent course.

Why is there so many people not listed on the PDGA results page?

Mike - Dave is working on the results. This is his first time doing the PDGA results so he may be running into some glitches. He'll get them all up  in a day or two.

Thanks for the temp course, well done! It is remarkable that the layout worked so well even though nobody played it. As much as you hate when I bring inequities up, Alman deserved a share of the $35 left over from Greg not accepting cash. May I suggest posting the pro payouts at lunch the way most tournaments do.

John - the payout was done the way the PDGA states it should be and Alman did get a "share" if you will because he actually got 2nd place $ which was about $11-12 more than he would have received for 3rd place.

Here's what the PDGA Competition Manual states: 1.10 Distribution of Prizes A. Any prizes (money or merchandise) declined by a player must pass down to the next finishing position. (Example: If a player placing third declines his prize, the player in fourth place will receive third place prize, the player in fifth will receive fourth place prize, etc.)

Hope that helps. It doesn't come up much so it is a little confusing and we weren't expecting it but we handled it the way it should be.  As for posting payouts, yeah if we were having a PDGA tourney all the time, we would do that. But this was an exception and we got it together so you could play the course.  It was stated at the players meeting that the payouts would be per the PDGA payouts rather than the normal CCS payout schedule which has been posted in the past. It's the same for every CCS.

Glad you enjoyed it.
