Yeah, good luck getting to that parking lot- give yourself extra time to get by the detour.

Anyone know what layout(s) we'll be playing for the Idlewild CCS?

Right now I am thinking of doing the same as what we have for previous years. One round of short 18 and one round of long 18.
Also, we will meet at hole 3's shelter, unless it is taken.

I'd heard that's what was done but didn't want to make assumptions with the newer holes and all. This Idlewild CCS will be my first solo event. I took a beat down out there last night, hopefully got that round out of my system.

Why dont we do an 18 hole round including the new letter holes? Like what was done for the NATI BIG 3. 1 thru 10,17,18, A-F ?? That way we get to throw all the holes at idlewild. Just a suggestion.

This is just about my thoughts exactly, and the reason why I feel the "normal" 18 is all we need to be cursing multiple times during the day.
As for the Idlewild / Boone idea, we did this last year and the results were fine, but not any better than two rounds of Idlewild.

Yes, I too vote for a long and a short 18. I think I'd prefer the long in the morning.

I would like to thank everyone that came out today. We had 45 people join us at Idlewild, and that is about normal. I would like to double thank those that helped me run the Challenge, especially Troy, Gary and Dave.
Just a reminder, the next CC is at Rapid Run on July 28, as long as there are no issues (The possible one should be fixed this week.). If any one has a metal basket please bring it. I would rather have 30 than 16. See you then.

Due to Cincinnati Parks now requires us to have insurance both Rapid Run and Mt.Airy CCS's will be PDGA Sanctioned C-Tier events in order to provide insurance for a minimal cost. If we get the Club its own insurance independently it would cots us @$1,400per year. Until we need to provide insurance for most of the events we will be forced to use the PDGA's insurance.
Please let Tony know if you are bringing a basket for the Rapid Run event, Since mine was stolen at the Birdie Bash we are down 1. thanks.

As it is right now we are adding the PDGA $2 per player fee for C-Tier to our base entry fee's, the Club will cover insurance($50) and Sanctioning($50) for this event and the Mt.Airy CCS in September. We will not offer pre registration and keep with our tradtion of "Day of" signups, this is to keep it on the cheap side since everyone would have to pay an exrta $3-$4 for online registration and None of us have spare time to take phone ins or emails or any type of pre registration right now. If everyone brings a basket(nicer ones at best) we should have extra's in case we get a larger turnout than 90 players to which we can toss out a few for added holes, yada yada..
I believe Tony and Jeff Worley will be in charge of basket listings and placements as you show up for the event. We will have everything marked prior to that morning so it will be easier to find and place your basket.
Sorry to all those non PDGA members that will have to cover their $10 nonmember fee, but the Club will disregard its non member fee for this and Airy's event. This way a non member of the Club and PDGA will not have to pay more fee's than their entry.
For anyone not familiar with Rapid Run, this is a Temporary course that was originally used for the 98' Pro Worlds. Every few years we revisit this park which is a great time and a real blast to play. Will try and have a map uploaded for anyone to check out soon.

Just a reminder, if you have a basket, please bring it with you to the RR CC. If you cannot attend, see if you can get it to someone who can. The more baskets we have, the better selection we get.
See you on the 28th.
