I just sent Adam J an email regarding old deck lumber I want to donate for any disc golf course improvements. Would love to donate material for the Burg. Most of the material is viable, if a bit worn and grungy. I got my truck running and proposed the idea of using Osage as way station for the material if there is any interest. If anyone wants to help me breakdown the rest of my deck there could be some 4x4s 2x 10s and 12s available ; ). I freely admit to having semi-selfish motives here (spring cleaning). .

We are going to have a work day at the Burg this Saturday beginning at 10:00am. Weed eaters and a chainsaw or two would be awesome. When we are done we will play a round of doubles. If you are interested in showing up please call me at 513-208-6391 so that I can plan out the day.

I have had 2 replies that have stated that they will be there so we will start at 10:00 am tomorrow and meet in the parking lot toward the shelter. If anyone is coming out or you are going to be late please call me. I would like to take out the dead tree close to #7 basket, cut weeds down and clear out dead wood along the course. Afterwards we will play a round of doubles.

We had 5 guys show up and help begin getting the Burg ready for the Course Challenge. I want to thank Jeff Armstrong, Adam, Alex E. and two of his friends who showed up and worked hard to clean up the course. Adam took down the two dead trees on hole #7 and cleaned up the falling tree at #9. Everyone else cleaned up the weeds at various holes. We will be having another work day on June 22nd (Saturday) before the Course Challenge.

If you haven't played the burg in a while I suggest you play it soon. Holes 7,8,16 and 17 have never looked better.

We will tackle the top of the hill this week so if anyone plays the course and you have a few extra moments to pick up branches or trash it would be appreciated.

Also, is there a good way to collect trash from the cans in the woods? Or is it just bag it and carry it out? Finally, any chance hole 13 being mowed before Sunday?

Great questions sir. We should probably take care of the garbage ourselves since I don't trust the park people to do it. For them to cut the grass at 13 the ground needs to be dry enough for them to access the hole by driving over someones lawn. If it does not dry out by Friday then I will have to try to get some help and weed eat the grass down to a certain length.
We will be doing work today (Wednesday), Thursday, Saturday evening (About 7:00PM) and Sunday morning (6:30). If anyone can help on these days then please PM or call me at 513-208-6391.

Got 90% of the weed eating done and will be putting OB lines down tonight. The weather will have a bearing on OB for the course so let's hope for dry weather through Sunday. I talked to a guy cutting the grass on the lower part of the course and asked him to cut on top of the hill before Sunday and he said that he would take care of it.

Just played there sunday and definitely appreciate all the work being done there. Me and my family really like that course and it is good to see it getting the attention it deserves.

If your looking for a little more challenge next time you're at the Burg, long Carl and long 17 are open for business. Long Carl plays approximately 310' (The temp tee was gone so I partially buried a 4x4 that I found to mark the front of the tee. Not sure if it is in right location, it's next to a stump that sits about a tee's length from the property line) and long 17 plays an approximate 370' through a tunnel that will force a super tight hyzer flip or a nice flex shot to get a deuce. The approximate distances were calculated by walking off the distance from short to long tee (on 17) and adding the distance on the sign. On long carl I just walked straight up from long tee to basket. If you have never played these holes I strongly recommend it. To get to long carl go to the left of the original tee and head down the trail over the fallen tree and you'll see the tee marker I put in. For long 17 walk directly behind original tee up the creek bed until you see the small concrete tee or if nobody is on hole 18 there is a trail up by the basket that leads to long 17 tee.

I will be at the Burg at 10:00 am on Sunday (June 8th). Anyone wishing to help please call me (513-608-4189). Weed eaters and a saw would be helpful but if you have neither just come out and I will give you a couple of garbage bags to pick up the trash. We will play a round of doubles afterwards so bring your discs. Anyone that helps will get your choice of disc out of my vast supply (Some brand new). Thank you very much.
