I've mentioned it to a few folks, but didn't realize time was running out, so if you know a disc golfer who might be interested in a once in a lifetime opportunity to by an Olympian, please pass along this message from Bill Griffith:

Seniors, be a part of disc golf history. For all of you seniors (over 50) who were thinking about playing in the first ever disc golf event offered in the National Senior Games (Senior Olympics) in Cleveland on July 20th and 21st, the deadline for registration is April 30th. You can register on-line at 'nsga.com'. To register, go to the registration page and look for the 'Demonstraton' sports section. You do not need a password.

Disc golf is a demonstration sport this year and does not require that you qualify in a State Senior Game event this time. If we are accepted permanently in the future, you will need to pre-qualify in the State Senior Games. Most states are set up that you need to qualify in their regional games in odd years (this year) to play in their State Games in the even years so you can then qualify for National Games the following year.

Currently we have over 50 registered in the National Senior Games, we can handle 144, so there is still plenty of room left for you. Hope to see you there.
