From PDGA website FAQ section,

Can we play more than one set of tees each night?...and different courses or layouts each week?

No and Yes. All players must play the same tees on a specific league day. However, everyone can play a different set of tees on the same course or even another course the following week. The league can move around so the same tees/course are never played twice over a 10-week league. If the courses being played in your league are particularly long and too tough for lower level divisions to play the long tees, we recommend sanctioning two leagues running on the same course on the same night. Have your higher level divisions in one league playing the long tees. The other league would include your lower divisions playing a shorter set of tees on the same course

Matt Blakely showed interest in running a PDGA league, and I have wanted to run one since they where started but was waiting to see how they worked the bugs out. I wish I could commit to running it but my hectic schedule may not allow me to so I am depending on Matt or others to help in this matter. We will keep everyone informed as we work this out.

Spring League Signup Deadline is Saturday March 15th. We will be meeting at the shelter by hole 3 at Idlewild at 12pm to pick teams and course schedule.

This is a handicapped league. If you've never played leagues before we will need to have an average for you so we can get a handicap.

If you have played in at least 3 course challenge events I should be able to get an average for you without the need to qualify.

If you're new to the sport and haven't competed before then you would need to show up for at least 3 spring league nights to qualify for Summer.

It is free to Qualify and all are welcome to attend.

PM me with any questions or if you would like to be included.

Thanks,

Phil Miller
GCFDA League Director

Dave Wright does not run the Wed leagues any more. Phil Miller is the current league director. If you have played a number of the Course Challenges we can get a starting average for you. If not, then you need to qualify so we can get a average for you. All you have to do is show up at Idlewild on the 15th for qualifying. If you have CC experience, PM Phil and talk let him know.

I have not played a lot of course challenge series. is that the 15th of march. i work on saturdays. hard to get them off and i have limited time off which i try to play in tournaments on. I just got done with the lincoln ridge ice bowl and placed 4th in intermediates. I missed a ton of putts. my pdga rating on those 2 rounds was a 934 and 937.

Come out to Idlewild on the 15th, you will see some of the guys and learn the schedule that we will play. Then come out to a number of the spring season courses so we can get an average. And you can be a full league member for the summer.

Just want to say I had a good time playing in the league this Spring and want to thank Phil for administrating the particulars. A thank you goes out Ben for getting a disc back for me, thanks to the person who left my goofy hat on 17s tee last night. My apologies to all who had to witness my gawd awful putting this season especially my partner Drew. Look forward to playing Leagues in the autumn.
