The December club meeting will be held at O'Bryon's Pub in O'Bryonville - 1998 Madison Rd - Cincinnati, OH 45208 - Monday, December 8th - 7:00 pm.  It's our end-of-the-year meeting - we'll vote for club officer positions.  If anyone can get ahold of Brad Anderson - we'll need to post who is nominated for what position.  Nominations are usually accepted that night as well.  The club will cover appetizers - drinks are on your own.   Tacky holiday sweaters are optional.

Hey Folks,

The forms just came in from PDGA HQ and Affiliate Club Program's PDGA discounted membership deal is ready to roll!

If you will be offering discounted PDGA membership to your members through the club - you can start your membership drive now.   Attached find the ACP 09 Cover and the ACP 09 Member/Merchandise forms.

There are several ways to handle these $5 discounted PDGA memberships (NOTE - some changes here from last year):

1.) The club contact can collect the money and come online to do the PDGA memberships with a credit card.  Clubs that want to use this option will have a code (NOTE; this password is on the ACP 09 Cover form) that will activate Auto Fill to help them insert the data.  Each membership will be discounted $5 and there is no $3 processing fee for these bundled memberships from the club contact.  (The clubs that keep the $5 will want to use this option for sure.)

2.) Club contacts can send their individual members online to the Pro Shop with credit cards to do these.  NOTE: Most clubs will find this method the easiest to administer and the clubs that pass on the $5 discount to their membership will find this option attractive.  After the club is registered, you will send them to the PDGA Pro Shop (link below). The $3 online processing fee DOES apply on these transactions.

3.) Club contacts can use the snail mail option with these two forms (Cover and Member/Merch).  Contacts collect the memberships and then mail them in with one check to the PDGA.

Please note: your members will soon be getting their regular 2009 renewal forms by email or snail mail directly from PDGA – so if you want them to handle their PDGA membership through the club, you need to inform them to ignore that form when it comes from HQ.

The ACP Discounted PDGA Membership Contest;

We will again be running an contest for those affiliate clubs that run a Discounted PDGA Membership program.  The contest will run from Nov 15th, 2008 through Aug 31st 2009 and will include only 2009 PDGA Discounted memberships that are submitted by active 2009 PDGA Affiliate Clubs.  In the interests of allowing clubs of different sizes a shot at winning, there are 3 categories for this contest: - A) Most PDGA memberships - B) Most new PDGA members  - C) Most improved PDGA Discounted memberships

A) will award the club with the most ACP discounted PDGA memberships turned in, B) will award the club that turns in the most new PDGA members among their ACP discounted PDGA memberships, while C) will award the club that turns in the most memberships above their 2008 number of ACP handled PDGA memberships.

A club can win only one of the 3 categories. If the 1st place club has already won in another category, the prize will go to the 2nd place club and so on.

Each winning club will receive $100 in credit for the PDGA Store.

Dave and Dan won in close races with Keith Dailey coming in second in both. Others receiving votes Liz (write in) for president and Russ Toelke for vice president. I believe Pete and Kendra ran unopposed.
