The PDGA is creating a new class of events for 2009 called "super class". Super class discs are more like throw and catch discs (ultrastar, sky pro, etc). The reasoning is that it will instantly turn boring par 3 courses into par 4-5 courses, and also make disc golf more accessible to more people. Read up on it here:

I wonder if a PDGA super class tourney would be a success in Cincinnati? I'm not sure how it would affect a player's rating. Those details are probably hidden in some forum on the PDGA site though.
