Come on out to a great tradition - the New Year's Day tournament at Winton Woods - tee-off will be at 11:00 am, sign-up by 10:30 am - we play 2 rounds with a lunch break and everyone's home at a decent time. I think Brad Anderson is running this - so correct me if I'm wrong here Brad - prices are the same as Course Challenges:
Open Men - $20
Other Open Divisions - $10
Advanced - $10
Novice - $5

What about the start time? I think this is about the first year that it's 11am, not 12:00. You might want to make a note of it on the home page or something.

I notified the parks that we would have our event... they already had remembered it so be prepared for the park fee, bring your $$ to buy a pass and support Hamilton County Parks :-)

We all thought that last year's NYD started at 11:00 am, but looking back through the forums, I think it started at noon. Steve is right, we should probably keep it at noon...whaddaya think?

I don't think that we change it... We all voted at the meeting and that is where the decision was made, if people don't like that they should show up to the meetings.

If it was voted on, then it should be 11am. I just thought an extra note on the home page might be a helpful reminder, especially for those long-timers who are used to the "sleep in late" tradition of the NYD event.

I'm showing up and running the fitness trail at 10:00 to generate some body heat so I don't freeze my butt off during the round.

Is the Hamilton Cty. Park Dist. sticker required? If so, where can you get one?

Yes it is. I went there the other day to practice and had to get one. You can get them at the booth things they have at the park enterances for 5 dollars for a year or 2 dollars for a day. I'm sure that you could get one from the park office though.

That is the date I put the announcement up, if I change it to 1/1/09- the announcement won't appear until that day. I'll need some help from the techies on this one.

It was a great day. Good to get out. I don't make many tourneys. Had a good day for me as far as play. +8 on 36 holes. Good for me even if it is a short course.

Here are the scores in Excel. From what I can tell there were four aces: Russ Toelke, Christopher Paquette, Derek Meier, and Paul Dumont. File Attachment(s):
NewYear2009.xls (27kb) downloaded 187 time(s).

So an Open Grandmaster had the hot score? Wait! Why do we have age protected divisions on a pitch and putt course? Anyway...nice scores there Dan. I can see by some of the other scores of people I know....there was some serious drinking going down the night before...and probably during as well. How was the wind and temp?
