Hey, my name is Billy Page and I'm a junior at Fairfield High School. For the last two years our school has participated in a High School Tournament at Banklick sometime in the spring. A group of my friends and I were wondering if this was going to be held again this year. If anyone has any information regarded said event, please let us know.

I'm a senior at Hamilton High School and would definitly like to get my school involved in this, even though I'm leaving this year it would be nice to see them keep doing this and getting more people into the sport.

It would be awesome to have the competition chain_shaker. I'm going to try to get a hold of all of the school that have previously won and provide them with information to try to bring a bigger crowd as soon as the date and event is set up

You can call 859.525.PLAY and ask Steve. I will also see what I can find out when I get a chance and post. It is usually the 3rd weekend in May I think.

I don't suppose there's any chance of the starting time to be earlier like it was last year. 3 of our top players are going to be missing because they won't be able to get back in time for our prom. Please consider just bumping it up a couple hours for us Fairfield guys. The reigning champs deserve to have their whole team there, don't you think?

So, does the Fairfield Team need to find the trophy from last year and bring it with us to Lincoln Ridge this year?

High School Disc Golf Championships ~
Boys Division & Girls (New!) Division
May 16, 2009
Kenton County Recreation will present the 7th annual High School Disc Golf Championships on Saturday, May 16 at Lincoln Ridge Disc Golf Course (formerly Banklick Woods Park). The tournament will consist of two rounds of 18 holes each with a one-hour break between rounds.
On-site registration will begin at 12:00 pm with Player's Meeting at 12:30 pm, and shotgun start tee off at 12:45 pm.
This year, for the first time, we will add a separate Girls division with the same Team and Individual Formats as for Boys, described below.
All currently enrolled High School students are welcome to participate! Players must provide their current school year ID. An entry form must be completed and a parent's signature is required for entrants under the age of 18. An entry form will be available at the bulletin board next to Tee #1 at Banklick Woods.
Cost is $18 per player. Each entrant will receive a Disc Golf disc and t-shirt. Check-in at 9:00 am at Shelterhouse 1.
Past winning teams include defending champions Fairfield High School, Dixie Heights (2007 champions), St. Xavier (2006 champions), Anderson (2005 champions), McNicholas (2004 champions); and the inaugural contest winners, Highlands. What school will take home the title and traveling trophy this year may depend on you!
The tournament format will consist of two competitions: Team and Individual.
TEAM FORMAT: Enter as many team members as you can from your school. The combined score of the Top 5 members of your team will be compared to the combined score of the Top 5 members of the other teams. The team with the over-all lowest score will win the Team Championship. You must have 5 players from your school to participate in the team competition. The Top team will have their school name engraved on a traveling trophy to be kept at their school until the following year.
INDIVIDUAL FORMAT: Individual players will be playing for trophies and prizes. You do NOT have to have a 5-person team to enter the Individual competition. Your score from both rounds will go toward your Team and/or your Individual score. The player with the over-all lowest score for both rounds will win the Individual Championship. Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 individual players.
The Disc Golf Course will be closed to the public for this event from noon until 6:00 pm. Please respect the players and tournament host and play another course or plan to play after 6:00 pm. Thanks for your consideration and cooperation!
For more information, contact Steve Trauger, Kenton County Parks & Recreation (859) 525-PLAY (7529).
For news of upcoming programs, activities, and events to be held in Kenton County's parks, call the Parks & Recreation office at (859) 525-PLAY (7529).

I don't know if anyone answered your question Haddox1, but you don't need an adult with you. Hey Dan, how come if the on-site registration is at 12 the check in is at nine? It starts at noon right?
