The winning score last year I believe, don't quote me, but was 2 under after two rounds. Yeah, I have a question for the person in charge of this. Since the forecast for this weekend is looking very wet and stormy, will it be postponed for another weekend later in May or is this rain or shine. Playing in a thunder/lighting storm is dangerous!!!

No rainouts - play may be suspended during the rounds if it's lightning. But a little rain never hurt anybody. Get out there and represent your buds and your high school. Who will be the next champ? Anyone? Who's representing anyway? Let's hear from you.

Good shooting Mike. I went to Banklick to play and forgot the championships were going down yesterday. I watch a few throws. Next year I may show up and sell you guys some over stable discs. I saw a lot of headwind drives on #12 go crazy places...then I saw some people I knew parking it.

I did see some kids out there that looked a little older than high school...do you guys I.D. at the door?... :)

My cousin and I played there yesterday at around 2:30 and there were tons casuals on the course. I don't think they ever closed the course. We did see a guy on hole 1 throw his disc backwards about 150'. He was trying to show off his hyzer ability to the wrong side of the mando and the wind just pushed his shot backwards.

Steve did allow casuals to play the front 11 or so as long as they were finished before beginning of second round....

Congratulations are in order for the following teams and individuals! Kenton County Parks & Recreation hosted the seventh High School Disc Golf
Championships for Boys and the inaugural HSDGC for Girls on Satuday, May 16. A total of 53 players participated; 6 girls and 47 boys ~ a new tournament
record! Special thanks go to the chaperones and volunteers who helped make the event a success, especially Rod Angel, Gary Thompson, Steve Spencer,
Shannon Harmeling, Kevin Vickars, and Danny Harris!

Team Championship scores are determined by each school's five best individual scores. The HSDGC Boys Team Championship record remains at 581 and is
shared by two schools: St. Xavier (OH) in 2006 and Anderson (OH) in 2005.

The first Girls Team Championship traveling trophy was won by George Rogers Clark High School (Winchester, KY) with a Team score of 1052.
Congratulations to the members of GRC's championship team: Brittany Woodrum (1st), Caitlin Crump (2nd), Julie Willian (3rd), Kayla Harrison (5th), and
Rebekah Parish (6th). The only other girl to enter was Allison Vickars (Simon Kenton). Caitlin Crump won the Girls Putting Contest.

The Boys Team Championship traveling trophy was won for the second straight year by Fairfield (OH) High School with a Team score of 612.
Congratulations to the members of Fairfield High School's championship team: Billy Page (3rd), Richie Davis (T-4th), Connor Sutton (7th), Michael Sechrist
(8th), Anthony Hoehn (T-29th), and Johnny Lin. Ben Joseph won the Boys Putting Contest.

Billy Page, Connor Sutton, and Michael Sechrist (all from Fairfield) were also members of the 2008 championship team. In '08, Billy was 10th, Connor was
3rd, and Michael was 6th. Ben Larscheid (Dixie Heights) was competing in his third HSDGC.
