Great overview Lee, thanks for posting the info. Are the baskets going to be in the same place they are right now or will some of them be moved? Specifically I am thinking of 3,4,6, and 8 which were in the short positions today.

Three will go back on the peninsula...8 will go back up the hill...10 will go back...it's actually 60 feet short right now...hole 4?...you mean 5...5 and 6 will be a surprise...and 13 long moves around some..but it will be across the creek..sometimes we put it to the left and short of the creek..but it will be in the longest position.

Classes start Thursday afternoon around 3pm...and all day Friday...cost is a 20oz Mtn Dew and a Little Debbie brownie...or their equivalent.
You know what they say about teachers though...there are those that can do...and the others teach...so I'll be a good teacher.

That would be ideal Lee..!..! It certainly WAS in the plans since I've only thrown there once, but I'm nursing a crazy hip injury that could prove to be very problematic for me saturday, so I'm layin low. Just tell me it's one of those courses that the least you know about it the better you do....sometimes? maybe? lol

lol, im not sure but lee says that the ccs this wknd will be 1 round from shorts(par54 I assume) and 1 round from the longs(72). if thats how its scored, which round is easier to par? or least over's, whatever the case may be.

I wouldn't take standard pars too seriously at Idlewild. I think you'd be doing pretty good if you got 72 even from the shorts.

ok, so over par. which round is easier? you think I'd be doing pretty good to shoot a 72 from the shorts...thats funny.
hmmm, could be right though. ....i see the score

Par for the shorts is about 68....par for the longs 72...this ain't no Par 54 course...hence why in the PM I said forget about thinking 3's from the tees...think 4's...and if you play Novice..and shot anywhere close to 72...I'll give you a big bag of sand. :)

never thought 3's...ever. And lee, you know i throw on the novice card...you know I'm new this yr also. Besides, I'm in my own battle at 42 years old with these "novice thundercats" that have been on the the scene for a minute.....where's the love? If I felt like you were rooting me on to do my best, I may throw a 71 and clean these repeats out on the yr....a bag of sand will be a compliment, I'm bringing the mortons.... lol

That sixty Eight should be a little lower now that five and six have short baskets. I have never foured six long, and i have 3 it everytime short. I think each time it has made me better throughtout the rest of my game. Hole six is the hardest hole i have played, but the forehand roller i threw the other day forthe first time really worked nice.

Attention... There will be a 50/50 CTP on Hole 9 the first round.
I'll be taking $3 from anyone who wants to be in during signups...
$1.50 goes to the 2009 FPO, $1.50 goes to the CTP Winner. Anyone can signup...
Whoever is closest (that participates) will get the winnings.
PM if you have any questions.

If anyone needs to reach me...just PM here...My phone has had a most unfortunate incident and the LCD touch screen is cracked and unusable. I have a third party insurance that is overnighting me a new phone...but a claim at 5pm may mean overnight is Friday and not Thursday.
However...I think I've answered most questions about the CCS Saturday....relaxed OB's...everyone just bring their smiles and enjoy a great day in the park.

My second time @ idlewild was this morning.... aced a thumber and was on fire with my magnet. I threw a 8 over on the shorts to finish @ 62. I will chase that 62 for awhile I'm sure! Now the bad news...... lost 2 discs and my truck keys!
