Thanks Steve. Hard to believe a rodeo man would end up in Nashville. To clarify, this is a different animal than DoD. Where DoD is super amenity based, HRC is super payout based. I still operate under the same principals. I like to treat every player as though they were a guest in my own home.

bruce, it may be a bit further, but i really like 'the gully' its north towards columbus outside of cincinatti, but i think its pretty fun. not a super short course, but a great balance of wooded and open, with some true par 4s and risk-reward. i bet there is a section on this forum about that course somewhere, or on dgcoursereview.

hey, was in town the other day and showed harbin to some guys that had never been there. i wanted to commend whoever thought of, planned, and planted the small grove of pines on 18. the addition will make that hole great in a few years, good looking out for that course's future.

So I feel kinda dumb now...
I signed up for this before I was registered with PDGA so I paid the extra $10.
But now (before the thing even goes down) I decided to go ahead and join the PDGA... *eeeek*
So will I still get points and stuff for playing in this?

bruce_brakel wrote:PDGA only shows 71... Having a full tournament two weeks in advance is a real blessing. A lot of the work you'd have to do Sunday morning and afternoon, you can do in advance. We're looking forward to it. Saturday the 14th we were thinking of playing the course early, before the unsanctioned thing starts, and then maybe checking out another course or two. We've never played in Cincinnati before. My travelling crew are women rated 910, 840 and 820, more or less. They like short courses with elevation and woods.
The CCS will be a full day with 2 rounds. You know how those are. If you played the CCS, you might have enough time for a round at Winton Woods before dark. Four of you would only need an hour.
If you were looking for something on Friday. I would just stay in the area. Monroe's 24 is a romp thru the woods. TurtleCreek is a flat half-and-half 18. The two of them would make for a day. More fun could be found just north at Dayton's Sycamore Trails.
The pictures for Monroe and Turtlecreek are a little old. The maps are good.

Tim, if you've signed up for the PDGA, I'll refund the $10 at the tournament. You're the second person to do so.
The waiting list is up to 6.

Current waiting list:
Kitz Siebert Advanced Tim Greenick Advanced Cyrus Fuhrman Advanced Brandon Wooten Intermediate Mike Kelly Recreational Terry Miller Advanced Masters
We'd also like to welcome our newest sponsors: The 'Nati Disc Golf & The Equalizer Cyrus Fuhrman & Girlfriend
A couple other things...
Those who signed up as current PDGA members but weren't current at the time have a few options: -Renew this week to show current in the database next Friday. -Renew next week & print out your receipt. Bring the receipt to the tournament. -Renew at the tournament. (This is my least favorite option, but you can if you must) -Pay the $10 non-member fee day of.
I've had a few people ask about the qualifing for amNats. You need to play in the Advanced division to have a chance to qualify. We have 4 qualifing spots available. If there is a tie for 4th place, all who tie will get an invite. Pro's rated under 970 playing advanced do not have a chance to qualify. This eliminates Dan Hollingshead & Holly Williams.

Nick, I found a stack of 8 or so new discs so far that I'm going to donate for CTPs. I urge others to dig into those boxes and bins and help make this tournament the best ever. I know lots of you out there have new plastic laying around that you will never throw.
