All baskets that were placed in different spots for winter and grass seeding (1, 3, 5, 6, 8 & 10),  have been replaced to normal position for this week.

Different hole layouts. If hole is not listed here, it is played the same both rounds.  First round shorts, second round longs.

• Hole #2 Two baskets. Short is short of pond, long is across the pond.

• Hole #3 Two tees. Short tee left of walking path, long right of walking path.

• Hole #13 Two baskets. Short is right side of fairway, visible from tee, long is down hill, dogleg right, across creek.

• Hole #14 Two tees. Short tee follow path from short 13, across meadow. Long tee is across bridge over creek from long 13.

• Hole #16 Two baskets. Short is on first green, long is on second green. Both visible from tee.

This year lunch is not included in the Kentucky State Championships registration fee and is not provided as part of the tournament. However, The Dugout, which is little independently owned burger and sandwich place, just north of the flashing stop light at KY 18 & Jefferson (Idlewild) Road, will be cooking on the grill at tournament headquarters for purchase. The owner said she would have hot dogs, burgers, sausage & peppers, chips & drinks for purchase.
Other close options are Subway & Gold Star Chili, which are back east from Idlewild on KY 18, or you can always pack your own.

In past years Kentucky States has tried to help raise awareness to either a cause or help out an individual, this year is no different.
We will be having one raffle for a very nice prize package valued over $100, a split the pot + added gift CTP throw off, and a split the pot + added gift distance competition.
Proceeds raised through these events go to help a friend that is participating in a Team In Training event to raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. 
Nick Thomas is a recreational disc golfer that fought and won his battle against Hodgkins Lymphoma nine years ago and is now giving back by raising funds for LLS, while training towards his personal goal of finishing a triathlon.

For fun during the rounds, Eric Simpson has come up with various CTP's, eagle bounties for AM's and a couple of other parlor tricks.

Easiest way to not fly by the green is to hit the chains on the putt. :)

A free pair of Keen Shoes, from their website www.keenfootwear.com, will be one of the items in the charity raffle. You need not be a player in the tournament to enter this raffle. Caddies, gallery and anyone else that wants to come out the day of the tournament and buy a ticket can get their name in on the drawing. Winner will be drawn at awards.

Ameristop at 2514 Burlington Pike in Burlington, KY has just become a sponsor for the 2009 Kentucky State Singles Championships. They are located in the small retail center on the right side of the road, next to the Burlington Post Office, prior to making the turn to head towards Idlewild. Remember them for all your beverage and snack needs
