13 and over - we usually don't have many, if any. If you're able to play Idlewild and Banklick 2 days, then you probably should play Intermediate as there would be much more competition.

Yes, the Ring of Fire by Jeff Eades will happen again this year. We have lots of items already for the Ring of Fire. The Ring of Fire is one of the most fun times of the tournament. For those who don't know what it is, at the end of the tournament on Sunday, with Jeff Eades as the Ringmaster, we set a basket in the middle of a ring of disc golfers and everyone throws their putter at the basket at the same time and whoever gets it in wins the prize/s for that round. If more than one goes in, they throw off. If in the throwoff they all miss, everyone is back in for that rounds' prize. If anyone has any items they would like to donate to the Ring of Fire or just donate to the tournament, contact me at Disc 'n Dat 859.371.3668.

No official Rec division, but Intermediate is a good place to see if you got game on two of the best courses in the area. You can bag there if you like. I know Estenfelder has plenty of experience baggin' on those courses.

Here's the link to the current registration list: www.pdga.com/tournament-results Things are starting to fall into place. We'll keep you posted here about what's happening. If there's anybody out there who would like to be a tee-shirt sponsor, let us know. $50 gets your business logo or name on the Tournament tee-shirt. We're also doing hole sponsorships for $20 a hole. We'll get your name on one of the holes at either Idlewild or Banklick. If you have a group of people who want to go in on it, that's great too.

Registration has been updated. http://www.pdga.com/tournament-results?TournID=8624
Also a reminder that lunch will be sold at AJ Course Challenge this weekend by the BGO folks and this goes to support the BGO. Good food and you won't have to go anywhere.

Ok, so you're all out at AJ Jolly at the course challenge or at Mt. Airy working on the park/course. What a beautiful day. Yeah, I'm here at the shop and updating the registration list
Hope you all have a great day. I will too - going to be with my granddaughter Hannah a little while later!

Thanks to Mike Kemner for posting the announcement on the front page here. The registration list is getting updated pretty regular now and will update atleast every 2-3 days if not daily. Things are coming together pretty good right now. Just a reminder, we have some spots left on the tourney tee-shirt - If there's anybody out there who would like to be a tee-shirt sponsor, let us know. $50 gets your business logo or name on the Tournament tee-shirt - individual names are $25. We're also doing hole sponsorships for $20 a hole. We'll get your name on one of the holes at either Idlewild or Banklick. If you have a group of people who want to go in on it, that's great too.

Yes, the USADGC is the weekend following the BGO so this year's tourney was too close to be a qualifier. Here's more info for this year's USADGC Another method of qualifying will be announced 5/20/09 besides the Week of Qualifying, so stay tuned.
Week of Qualifying
Course will be open prior to the tournament for a "Qualifying Round Competition". There will be multiple days of this and you will have to pay the day fee each day that you want to try and qualify. This will be open to any current PDGA eligible amateur with the following exceptions: 1) If the candidate has a PDGA rating, their PDGA rating must be at least 915 to have any round considered OR throw at least a 915 rated round to have their round count towards qualifying, 2) If the candidate does not have a PDGA rating as of the date of qualifying, they must complete a qualifying round that is rated at least 915.
Five (5) spots out of 144 will be held in reserved for this qualifying process. The best rounds during qualifying day will get a spot in the tournament. If there is a tie(s) for the last spot, a sudden death elimination playoff round will be held for the affected players.
If the tournament is not filled by 6/8/2009, then ALL of the available spots will be offered in this format.

These aren't the greatest pics but you can go to discndatonline.com and click on the products and the larger image to see it a little better. They've been selling pretty well, so get them early if you want the best selection. You're getting really sweet discs that aren't in regular production and you're supporting your local tournament.

And they are rolling still - here's the updated list. Where's all the local Advanced, Open and Masters players? You guys need to sign up and start trash talking some, don't you? Going to be good Intermediate division for sure.

Hey Dan,
It took me a while to find the link on your Disc N Dat Bluegrass Open page to sign up -- you might want to highlight that link and separate it from 2008 Results a little more to dummy-proof it...
also, i missed entering my name, pdga # etc.here you go:
Rob Johnston PDGA #22020 Pro Master division.
thanks and see you there

Thanks RJ - I changed it and hope that makes it easier. See you in a few weeks.
Here's the UPDATED REGISTRATION - the entries are definitely rolling a little faster now and should start flying any time. Things are definitely shaping up for the tourney and it will be a good one as always.

Yeah, I don't understand that Adam. I'll look into it if I have a chance but probably not any time soon. I can always look up someone's # if I have to.

Thanks Dan -- it was pretty hard to find before -- I kept thinking I'd be able to add it to my cart somewhere on your site till i found it in small font without separation from '2008 results'... just re-visited and now with the link being in big font and by itself it is plain as day.
