Never played this course, is it worth the drive from Middletown?

If you like a challenge it is worth the drive. Sort of a cross between Banklick, though much tougher, and Idlewild, though not as long or as well groomed. The 2 holes that stick out are #6, 534 feet thru the woods along a footpath, no real fairway, and number 14, another 500+ that is really tough. There is a road to the left that is OB and sits about 20 feet above you and high weeds and woods to the right of a very narrow fairway. This narrow fairweay goes about 350 feet and then makes a 90 turn to the right for the last 200 feet to the basket. I played this course 2 years ago when I first started playing and got crushed. Now I think it would be a real challenge, though I'm still not sure it would be fun. It's definitely a tough course, but if you are up to the challenge it is worth the drive.

One of my top 5 favorite courses. I've never played in the summer though. I hear it is a whole other course.

Played there Friday and yes its a whole other course. With foliage the fairways are even tighter. The course could use a little cleaning up but I think it will look good by tournament time.

With endorsements like those, how can I refuse. And it's a fundraiser, which makes it better.

If Stricker is there I will be too. How can you pass up an opportunity to hang with a legend?

Now that's a bit much Mr. Engle.
How funny is this. I have to OK this with my Mom. That is her birthday weekend and I can't miss out on any of that fun. You know, family first.

For future reference, if it's a pdga event, you can can go to pdga.com, and go to "PDGA Tour" -> "Schedule", and you'll find registration lists that way.

I can't decide... One minute I want to play Open the next minute I'm thinking about AM2.
Maybe I should stay in AM1 and hope to get a chance to play with the legend... Mr Engle :)

Does that mean you are playing Simpson? I'll be heading over Saturday morning to get a few practice rounds in...and then over to a hotel. Anyone know of a good place to have some barbeque and some good drinks in Chilly?
I know the registration list doesn't show that many people...but I know more than 6 more people that are heading that way...so it may get close to that 90 max.
