Holly put on a great tournament at Turtle Creek in May. I'm sure this one will be just as well organized, and with 24 CTP you know it will be a blast. Everyone will have a shot at most of those holes. Really looking forward to this one.

Holly, Turtlecreek was awesome and having a CTP on every hole was really cool
but,
can you break them down by division? As much fun as it is to watch Blakely walk away with 10 bags it'd be nice to see it mixed up a little. If not no biggie I am looking forward to the tournament!

Matt, I can see how some people would want the CTP's to be broken down by division but I hate the thought of someone throwing an awesome shot and not being rewarded if the given hole is not designated for their division, at Turtlecreek 12 of the 19 CTP's were won by "amateur" players, I can honestly say I was a little worried that pros would sweep the CTP's but fortunately it worked out, I would love to know what others think about my tournaments and how could we could improve on anything, for instance ideas about the CTP's, Matt's point is valid, should we only offer the CTP's to the Ams? or should we designate holes by division? Pros are getting money added to their purse, we could make the majority of the CTP's for AMS, any thoughts?

I say leave the CTP open to everyone. As a novice, and not a very good one at that, it would be cool to walk off with a CTP against the best players. The one time I played Monroe I parked several drives against the basket, so I say let's have at it. If we were playing a course like Idlewild I could see the argument for splitting it up.

I understand what Matt is saying but looking at the facts it seems that the CTP's seemed pretty balanced. I like that you put one on every hole at TC so that gave you something to shoot for on every hole which added to the fun factor. It is way more fun to have a shot on all holes than just 2 or 3 and I think Monroe gives a higher percentage of holes that anyone could reach than TC did.
As for limiting the CTP's to AMS, your call here since you are adding cash to the Pro purses, maybe limit some CTP's as AM only, 12 all, 12 AM only.
I think your events are fun, your payout is usually funny money for AMS so you can buy the disc(s) you want which is better than being given disc(s) you will never use.
Holly is a very good TD, I would recommend attending any event he is running.

leave em all open to everyone. ctp's are more about having that one really good shot than being really good, its not like pros park every hole every time, i mean i do but i'll just try to hold back on a couple so others have a chance.

those are all great points and my dad did win one of the CTPs and I really didn't get many close that day to be considered so this is just a thought I had when we started at Turtle Creek. I also think more pros would of won ctps at turtlecreek if more pros were there. Remember there were only 6 pros playing. But I also agree that it is fun as an amateur to have an opportunity to put one inside a pro...
Thanks for the quick answer and the feedback. Coming from your point of view Holly I would ignore my request because that would mean you would have to break down 24 holes into divisions and it would add an annoyance. So forget I mentioned it!
And I want to second Kelly's statement that Holly is a rock star TD!

hey holly i didn't know if you knew this but currently at Monroe hole 16 and hole 20 do not have baskets
hole 16 had been gone for a few weeks but i went last night and hole 20 (the last one in the woods) has been taken. It was sad to because i actually got a drive through there for once and to my surprise no basket.

I say designate at least 6 CTP's for Novice or Women just to make it more fair. I hope to be there Holly.

Holly,
I won the CTP for rec on hole #21 at the Deuce or Die. The prize was the entry into your tournament. However, I'll already be back at school and have a soccer game that day. I was wondering if you could let my cousin register in my place instead? Let me know

Dan, its no problem as long as your cousin is playing in the division that you won the CTP for, just send over his information or you can post it here on the board

Sponsors on board Innova, Discraft, Prime Discs, Poor Boy Discs, Flywear Apparel, 1000 rated, the 24 CTP's are going to end up being pretty hefty
