I am working on getting everything worked out with NJCPR & PDGA so that I can get things moving. The tourney will be Sept 12 with 2 rounds at Riney B. Once everything is changed to my name I will get online registration started. For the moment players may register by notifying be via my home e-mail address at dobbins66@insightbb.com or by posting to the "Beavers Registration" thread on the tournament forum at  www.bdga.org.


Here is the basic Information to get started.

Sept 12th @ Riney B Disc Golf Course in Nicholasville
Registration and Check-in starting at 8:00 a.m.
Players Meeting at 9:00 a.m.
Shotgun start at 9:30 a.m.
PDGA C-Tier Event
All PDGA divisions offered - Must have at least 4 to have a division
2 rounds of 18 holes with an hour for lunch in between rounds
(Different 18 hole formats for each round )
Players pack for pre-registered participants in Amateur Divisions.
Discs/Merchandise to be awarded to Amateur Divisions; Cash for Pros

Cost:
Open - $50
Other Pros - $40
Advanced - $30
Intermediate - $25
Recreational - $20
Novice - $15
Juniors - $10

$10 fee for non-PDGA members.

I went down to Riney B this afternoon to do a little walk through for Saturday and didn't get far until I discovered a problem. Basket #24 and Basket #5 have been stolen - someone open the S-hooks and took both. Basket #6 had the hook removed and someone had been messing with #7. This has already been reported to NJCPR who are supposed to be notifying the authorities (they have to for the insurance claim). So if someone sees an Innova basket with a "24" on it for sale let me or someone know - How many of those do you see. Pretty Stupid theft selection!

Since I was only going to use 18 holes for round this will still work. Hole 24 will not be used either round. This solves the issue with people walking back around the bridge from #5 to #8.

Most LIKELY scenario is now this (Both rounds the same):

Move the #6 basket to the #5 location.
Holes 6,7,24 are out - 24 because of the stolen basket and 6 and 7 because of the new Beaver structure that has permanently flooded the bridge at 7. Holes 13,14 & 15 will also be removed because of water issues. This is the easiest way to get 18 holes while maintaining decent course flow.

1-5, 8-12, 16-23

This may change slightly after depending on what happens this week.

NJCR is supposed to be mowing/trimming starting tomorrow.

Gonna have to do something,  The bridge on #7 is now permanently under water because of the beaver dam (or Damn Beavers), don't go left on #8 unless you have waders and the water is right behind the #9 teepad.  I'm really starting to dislike these little animals - Just wish they'd attack the basket thief and maybe I'd think better of them!

How was Riney B? Weather was great which had to make it a 1000 times better than when I played there during the Lexington Open in the terrential rain(I still have nightmares about that...)
