I was scammed by DDGA. dayton disc golf association seems to be a racist motivated club. dont come to Dayton and play unless you are a crook or a racist. DDGA's new motto is, "no blacks or jews, or asians without shoes."

Dayton123 I am curious. Was that your first post on this forum, because you Didn want to use your regular screen name? Or mayb So everyone Didn realise how blind you are to reality. There are many including myself who would say they are by far the most excepting and honest club in oh. At least this part of oh.If you have any facts to go with your accusations feel free to post those instead of garbage. A former gcfda member . A local resident. And always a ddga member!

I have to apologize for "dayton123" aka Hoa Harper. He unfortunately has issues that go way beyond anything based upon fact. Asking him for the "whole story" is like asking
an alcoholic to drink only one beer, it isn't going to happen. Unfortunatelt we have had to deal with his "accusations" for quite some time. Noone was scammed out of any money and most of you who know us and me realize what Dayton is about.
To clue everyone in(I don't know why I have to rehash this): July BID of 2008. We instituted a rule stating we would run our BID Series using the PDGA rules. I know, we never enforced them like they should have been in the past. This was voted on at our July meeting before Hoa joined our club and before this event. He likes to play golf without a shirt or shoes; nothing wrong with that. But I announced at this BID that PDGA rules would be in affect, yes that includes wearing shoes and a shirt besides a lot of others, for all BID events going forward. This was done to clean up the image Dayton has had for quite a long time: which helped us present ourselves professionaly to a larger audience and attract bigger sponsors since a lot of new p[eople were joining the club and playing our great game. He took offense to this, but did oblige for this particular event. After this he began a tirade to say we scammed him out of his club dues. I did offer to refund his $20 member fee and try to move forward, which he declined. At this point our message board as well as yours and a few others were laced with his dislike and anger towards me and the DDGA. Yes this included racial remarks; Hoa is of asian decent and thought the "rule" enforcement was directed towards him for being asian. In addition, for those of you that played Belmont during these times, a great deal of shoes were thrown into the tree by 18 basket; this was one way Hoa protested the rule change. And yes, this has been going on for a long ime. Most people just ignore it.
Now you know the rest of the story. My recommendation is to ban his IP address from your forum page if you do not want this to continue. We had to do this on a few occasions to relieve everyone of his hatred towards me and the DDGA and his talk of racism, etc...
Once again, I apologize to all the the people who use this forum

Thanks for sharing. Quite a story. When I first read the posts from dayton123 I thought it was something that happened recently. 3 years ago and the anger sounds fresh.

Fact is players of all ethnic back grounds were effected by rule change. A good friend of mine won't play ddga events. He to likes to play with no shirt. He is well liked in Dayton , but rules are rules what ever the color of you'd skin.

Hoa, I think you need to listen to the people on this forum and take it elswhere. Suggestion, the next DDGA meeting is set for Tuesday March 1st at Slyder's. Please attend so you can vent your issues and they will be handled appropriately. Cincy's board is exactly that, Cincy's MB.
Thanks to the Cincy members that have seen through these posts for what they really are and once again I apologize for Hoa's childish rants.

Lulz at the epic meltdown. All I know about Sean and the DDGA is the following: -The courses are great -The events are fun and reasonably priced -They seem to believe in the perfect mix of competition and fun
In my 8 years of playing tourneys, I've always left Dayton events with a better feeling about disc golf than when I arrived.
