Oh, Lee, yeah I got yours and I wondered about you playing in the Open division. Thought you might be trying to get away from us!

Thanks to Dan for running another great tournament. Definitely not a day for wimps and whiners. It was actually not too bad once you got playing. Too bad some semblance of my game didn't show up till the last round, but it was fun none the less.

Thanks Phil. I appreciate that. Yes, signups are ready online at Icebowl Krazy Series website. As a little added incentive, we will have a drawing for an Icebowl disc for all those who pre-register. And don't forget you can enter for the raffle of the Discatcher Traveler and make donations to Fairhaven online also. Any questions just holler.

Just spoke with Dave Hammers of Fairhaven Rescue Mission and he will be out at Boone Woods Saturday to address our group for a few minutes before we start. So let's have a great turnout. Also, if you have some clothes laying around that you've been meaning to get rid of, or even if you haven't been meaning to, but should, bring them on out. We'll have some people to collect them.

Nice weather we're having, eh? Due to the conditions, we may be changing the course up just a bit on Saturday. We're tentatively looking at not playing 12, 13, &14. These holes with the up and down creeksides and not having a good crossing of the creek on 14, these holes could become pretty rough to play. So, after you finish hole 11, there's a bridge off to the left that cuts across the creek and we can then play holes 15 and 16 as normal. We are looking at putting 3 holes around the soccer field when you cross the road after 16. Then back to 17 as usual. So, does anyone have a basket they would be willing to bring? It is going to be warm on Saturday, so we do have that going for us. Let's keep those signups coming and have a good showing on Saturday for Dave Hammers of Fairhaven.

Sorry if I'm being lazy, but I did try to read through this thread to understand...when I'm signing up online, when I check out it shows as "Harbin Icebowl Item # Harbin". I'm guessing that this is due to the dates being switched, but I just want to make sure. New at this, never played a tourney before and don't want you guys to tell me I'm 30 miles south and 30 minutes late.

Anything special about tourney play that I should be aware of? I guess a mini marker is needed to mark each shot... Guessing the mulligan process will be explained although I think the rules I've checked out online seem to be pretty self explanatory: make sure everyone in your group knows, state it immediately after your throw, can't go get the disc you just threw, get 30 seconds (as you do w/ your first shot) to throw your shot, can't move your marker until after your mulligan is thrown????
I count anything w/in 30' as a "gimmee"...same thing in tourney play?

Nothing is a gimmee in tourney play. Hole out everything - even tap-ins. If you are 100% at 30', you'll enjoy tournaments.

congrats mike, the novice card is gonna be crazy this year....bet you slept with your buzz last night, got up and ate scrambled eggs OFF of it and a bowl of "Disckys Winner Cereal" OUT of it.... then jump'd in the shower n squeeky cleaned it. bagger
ps. last yr wasnt drama at all! I was a "true" novice and dominated it....no room for drama there. Im rootin for a few of you but my money (which i have none)...is on chris, except for the challenges that rebecca cox signs on the novice card then you're all doomed lol
for real, congrats on your 1st win

I'm playing advanced in the course series, only novice in the icebowl cause thats all i can afford and barely affording it at that, but its was not the buzzz that i slept with it was my Z Stalker and I had a really relaxed state of mind which was new for me but it worked everyone was all pressure pressure in the throw off i just stayed cool and calm i wasnt really putting well most of the day but my drives and approach shots saved me you will notice a really different side of me this season and it is going to be a blast!!
