The Monday February 8th Club meeting is at Uno's in the Anderson Towne Center at 7 p.m. That's in Anderson Township, on the northeast corner of Beechmont Avenue and 5 Mile Road. It's been a while since the East Side got a close meeting - so come on out. I reserved the private room for the GCFDA - I told them we'd be showing up 6:30 or so. They request that we have 15 people to reserve the room....so, there's another reason to attend. Hopefully we get a better turnout than the 5 or 6 we had at the October meeting!
Address is:
7578 Beechmont Ave. #503
Cincinnati, OH 45245
Phone: 513-231-5357

What is the problem with bring the kids? Pete has done that a time or two and it has worked out for him. Kids get to get out of the house, and eat out. Are they too young?

Phil might not want to expose his baby to some of the attendees.

They are pretty young. 6 , 4 and 1 so yeah they are too young. My kids get out, but club meetings are probably not the place for them to have fun. I'm sure they would enjoy hanging out at home with mom and playing with their toys rather than sitting in a restaraunt with a bunch of adults talking about something they have no interest in. Maybe when you have kids you will understand.

Yes, you can join at the meeting or you can join right here on the site. On the "About Us" link above there is a drop-down menu with a "Join" link.
It would be a good idea for people to start renewing and/or joining now before the club meeting so you can vote on anything that comes up and to help at the first Course Challenge. It gets a little hectic when so many people wait until the first tourney to renew or join. Wouldn't you rather be out there warming up with your friends than standing in a line waiting with 50 others?

Maybe a better topic for the meeting, but what about online club membership signups? I don't know what PayPal's fee is but it might make it easier for signups and such to have something in place.

Online Membership Signups have been available for awhile now. Just click on "Join" under the "About Us" tab!

Just became a member...yahoo! Anyway, it wasn't about the free disc, but a couple questions...what is the disc...and how do I get the disc? LOL. Because I'm a member am I now exempt from some sort of non-member fee for the CCS, Icebowl, or even the Wed nights at Banklick? (I plan on being there in the rain tomorrow...)

Pretty sure you just meet pull it from the clubs stock. Not sure what limitations you may have on it though.

You will be exempt for a fee from the CCS and whatever other events the club puts on and decides to charge a non member fee. Wednesday night leagues (not to be mistake with Wednesday night doubles) charges an extra fee for non members.

The disc does come from the club stock. After club events we will set up shop, and you can select a disc (Some restrictions do apply).
Just so you know, even though the Ice Bowls are a club event, Disc n' Dat puts it on. So the voucher does not apply. Our first event will most likely be the March Course Challange.

I figured Mike and Dan had done something, but when I was looking I didn't see the dropdown for the About Us page, it went directly to About us.
The Kung-Fu in my clicking finger is sometimes too strong.
Thanks for the heads up Liz.

Just want to make sure, this is a "league meeting" for all GCFDA members and not just an "officer meeting". Would rather not waste gas money during these trying times... We'll vote on things, right?

It's a "club meeting" not a "league meeting" it's open to all GCFDA members. Club matters will be discussed and voted on. Come and participate in the democratic process.
