Yes, the Bag Tags are back for 2010. Jeff Eades will have them at the Harbin Course Challenge on Saturday 3/20/10. Bag Tags are $10 and are a fundraiser for the Disc 'n Dat Bluegrass Open Supertour Tournament June 5-6 this year. Once you have a tag you can play among your buddies to get the lowest tag or at any event like the Course Challenges you can enter your tag and lowest score gets the lowest tag. Doesn't look like we can have a play-in tourney this year so the Course Challenge at Harbin will be the play-in to see who gets what number tags. Jeff will also have tags available tonight at Wednesday Doubles but they will be 30+ numbered tags, so all the low numbers will be available at Harbin - if you get one tonight, you can use it on Saturday. The first ten numbers are gold and all others are blue.
Details haven't been finalized but the Bag Tag Weekly Event will happen again also. We'll update you on that soon.
Thanks to Jim Tolle/Flywear Apparel for doing the tags again this year. Great work Jim.
Thanks to Fade Gear again this year for sponsoring the tags - thanks Tim. If you're looking for a new bag, check out the Fade Gear bags at Disc 'n Dat - they have a new backpack strap system now too that includes a rainfly for your bag. Help support our sponsors Flywear Apparel and Fade Gear.

Bag Tags will once again be held on Thursdays at Mt. Airy. $2 to play. Money collected will go towards the Disc 'n Dat Bluegrass Open. Money collected after the BGO will go towards a year end finale.
Due to scheduling conflicts and possible weather conditions, Bag Tags will begin April 1. I hope there will be some tags to purchase prior to the round, or you could stop by Disc 'n Dat if you don't have one already.

Stricker,
Where will everyone be meeting at the course? Old #1, or at The 'Nati shop?

That's a good question. Actually, it's a perfect questions.
Agenda #1 for the 4-1 Business meeting is...What hole are we going to start on?
Personally, I would like to keep with tradition and start on Old 1. I find The Nati to be a good stop after a few holes to refuel.
What's your opinion?

this also will alleviate any parking issues and allow casuals and others to park and start at the shop.

yeah, I like the course better from old 1 anyway. Its nice to get the front out of the way as quickly as possible. Will there be the option to buy a tag for a $20 or $30 again this year. That way more money gets to the disc n dat and you don't have to worry about weekly dues for the rest of the year.

Beautiful day for some golf so I suggest Mt Airy for some Bag Tags.
Weekly Bag Tags start tonight!!!
Tags - $10
Weekly Round - $2 (or you can pre pay with a 20 spot)
5:00 PM Northside Tavern for Business Meeting (optional)
6:00 ish round begins
Start on old hole 1
Weekly Bag Tags are a casual event in which the goal is to obtain the lowest tag number that is turned in. All proceeds go towards the Disc n Dat Bluegrass Open. After the BGO, monies are collected for an end of year casual event.

Well, another round of Bag Tags is scheduled for this evening. Looks like the sun will grace us with it's presence for a while so lets play. For those of you that enjoy playing in colder than normal temps, come on out.
$10 for a tag $2 for the round or $20 for the entire year.
See you on the course

While practicing before the start of the A.J. Jolly CCS my bag tag must have came off and is now missing. It is #19 and if anybody has found it could you please P.M. me. The odds of getting it back are low so what should I do?

Hope you get it back.
In years past, people that have lost their tags have purchased new ones. There are tags still available.

Looks like another great Thursday.
The one thing about Thursdays, it never rains and the Reds never loose. Make it the perfect trifecta and play some golf.

We have had some pretty low tag numbers being thrown around. # 2 Changed hands last week.

The Reds face Oswalt tonight. They've only ever beaten him once, and I think he got a no-decision once as well. Tough sledding for a Thursday. Not to fear my friend. In two weeks order will be restored to Thursdays.

Never doubt the power of Thursday Bag Tags. The Reds won and it was beautiful.

OK so lets see if our mantra stands true.
The Reds have a day off, they will not lose. Rain...we will just have to wait and see.

Ummmmm....
Your guess is as good as mine. The Reds won't lose today, but I'm not going to promise anything about the rain.

I still have a Bag Tag #____ that was turned in a couple of weeks ago. Hell, could have been a month ago now. But I do have it and it's not a bad number. Let me know the number and it's yours.

At the business meeting we will be discussing ways to increase the pot of money for the year end tourney so if you have 2 cents you would like to contribute, come on down.
