You need to cut and paste the whole link--not just the part that is underlined.

Adam,

When you say "bring any tools you may have that will help out," what tools would be helpful? Chain saw, weed wacker, edger, saws all, metal sheers, de-forester, etc...

I know I could just call, but figured others might be worndering too...

As far as Tools go we can bring; hand saws, pole saws, chain saws, pole chain saws would be a bonus.

I will have some pairs of gloves and a few hand tools.
Most of the clearing will be done by machine in the weekends that follow. We will then do more precise pruning and trimming later as we progress.

Bring a drink also.

Entrance is right before a hard right turn on the left. I will flag the entrance because there is actually 2.
Not sure how parking will be so car pool if possible.

Adam, since the ice bowl is on Saturday, I was thinking of doing the ace fund to Sunday. If I moved the time to 1:00 would that give you enough time to get some work done on the course and then maybe get over to Mt Airy in time for doubles? I can have pizza ready for the workers at Mt Airy so they don't have to stop and get something to eat after working. Maybe a cold one as well. It looks like it's going to be a nice day for work/golf.

Actually I was hoping the club would pay for the pizza(or reimburse me) and I'll pay for the drinks.

Mark- Thanks bud, that one works.

Fred- I will be at Goshen till probably 4 or 5pm. Since we are starting at 9:30 am and they would have to leave by 12 to get to Airy by 1 that leaves them with about 2&1/2 hours of work. I understand if you want to change the start time to allow those to make it. Offering food is always a nice idea, but I don't do it unless I am there. I don't do it for non volunteers to which I can't control who you feed. If you want to, it would be from your own heart, Those that stay at Goshen I will take out to lunch or something similar. Sorry if this and future works days interfere with weekend events but this is how it has to be.

I will call you later to discuss how to work this out.

Adam, my apologies once again. Another bad idea from Fred, I didn't realize you were going to be out there that long. So, we will be at the shop if anyone want to play doubles. 1:00 tee off. No lunch.

Its been a real pleasure to be able to design a course up there. I haven't posted the layout map yet for several reasons. Main one is I don't want others going out there and clearing or cutting anything unless I specifically tell them what I need done. If you don't work Sundays I'm sure you'll get a chance and we will have stuff later during the week also. 90% of the clearing is being scheduled and will be done by heavy equipment and a professional operator. After that we will have more hands on volunteer work.

Seeing lots of news about this park wants me to ask again about a timeline for the park.
Any thoughts of when it would be ready for play (knowing lots to be done and hoping for good weather soon)?

Judging by the timeline on the work days it looks like it won't be open until may or later.

Due to the unusual weather we are postponing the deforesting equipment. 90% of the clearing will be done with the equipment in about a weeks time. Otherwise it would take us about a year to do it by hand. Our time line with be changing as we progress and work around mother nature..

Thanks to those that have helped out so far.

Is the land fairly high and dry thus equipment could get in sooner than later?
Is it a commerical company clearing it?

The land is a mix, but it is fairly wet throughout. This will delay it somewhat. The deforester will be run by someone that owns a commercial excavating company.
