NO, dont do that Mikey! You were to damn fun to play with to give away all your **** and quit. Me and Moses (this is TJ, and i think moses is Corey) had the pleasure of playing with you a few weeks back, and we had a BLAST!
Just pack it up for a month or so, and bring it back out when your ready. But dont sell it, if you dont HAVE TO!!!

Mike, when you say "can't afford it" I think you are just looking at it the wrong way. What you have shown is a large amount of discs you are wanting to sell. I almost broke even last year selling discs/bags/video games/dvds that I don't use any more on eBay (its the only way I can justify playing disc golf to my wife). I love selling stuff on ebay and would be more then happy to help you get set up (if you have a digital camera and a computer it takes 5 minutes to get a disc on there)

you have 42 discs on there and if you broke them up in lots or sold them individually you could probably get an average of $9 (profit, after shipping costs) on used discs and $12 on new discs. Thats $108 for your new discs and 288.00 for the used and probably $20-30 for a used bag so rough estimate you could make around $400 selling on ebay (fees on ebay might knock that down $30) but still it is better then trying to sell these locally for cash.

I can imagine with whatever you end up spending your time not playing disc golf will end up costing you more then playing.

I hope this helps...

We need a disc golf pawn shop. Mike, take it easy, the plateau of disc golf developement is unavoidable. Getting good can be easy, esp. when you've got youth on your side. Staying good takes work. Stop playing for money and play casual only-the joy of playing comes back. We had fun at doubles last night- I got my disc back BTW!

Mike, you have too much potential to totally quit. Be patient, take some time off and come back when you're ready. Good luck.

Disc golf is one of the cheapest recreational pastimes there is, and you have already purchased all the equipment you'll need.

Playing tournaments or for money every week IS expensive, but there's no rule that says you need to play competitively to enjoy the game.

Dude I'm 43 been playing 20+ years like a marriage has it's ups and downs after my divorce I quit for about 6 years just been playing again this year not as good as I was but forgot how fun it is. I still love it. Just put it the stuff in your basement and one day you will get the urge and you will have all the stuff you need. The money you would get for used stuff won't amount to much and you will want to play again just do wed night doubles or just shoot a round with buddies. I've never played in a tourney it doesn't mean it's not my favorite pastime.
