After talking with Midge Erkenbrecher they are allowing us to play there on Monday for a small fee per person.
I am thinkn of having a small social tournament.
Maybe singles or maybe a doubles format, we could do $10 enrty = $3 for the course fee, $2 Ace fund, and $5 for payout.
Anyone can come out and play and I would like to have a few people come a bit early to help me clean it up alittle. It will be mowed for us and all we need to do is clear a few limbs that have fallen and such.
How's this sound. 9:30 meeting then a 10 am tee off.
if we do 2 rounds you will need to bring lunch or we just do 1 round and those that want to play a second can stick around and do so.
Any thoughts and who is willing to help me out with this?

I might be available Sunday afternoon to help with some cleanup if we can get in there then. Hit my cell with a text if that's cool.

This is for Monday only, they run paintball on the weekends. All day Monday they will let us play, I just thought it would be cool to get a bit organized and have a small tournament. One time opportunity just for Labor Day and for us Disc Golfers so long as we don't mind paying a reduced fee and each player helps clean up as we play. I would like to see a few die-hards come out earlier with me to clean up the course and help put on a small tourny. More info later as I hear from everyone and get more definite plans figured out.

I can be there early on Monday to help clean up. I was hoping to sleep in if we could do it Sunday. You need me to bring a chainsaw?

The boss says I can play, so I will be happy to come early and help clean up!
This was the course I got started playing on besides Winton and occasionally Airy and Oxford.

I guess Adam will give us the final details but they have a website if you want to check it out. Please note that there is a road closure that makes you take a detour to get to their house.

I would like to play it, but I don't know if I can at 10:00 am. If I can show up later will I need to call ahead or just show up with money?

Please DO NOT CALL them, I am working out the details. I want everyone to keep communication on this thread and as soon as I have all the info together I will let you all know. As posted above there are detours due to construction. I will have all the details posted by Saturday, thank you for your patience.

Here's a short update.
We are allowed to play from dawn till dusk on Monday = Labor day I will be there early to do cleanup directions are on their website posted above. construction detours so please take a look and carpool if possible. For those that want to play an organized event we should plan on a 10 am tee off it may be singles or could be doubles, figured we all can decide that based on attendance. They are offering to pick up lunch for us from a local pizza/sub place for those that don't bring anything, just bring cash.
will post more info later

Adam,
From what people are posting, seems like playing doubles all day would be the most flexible. Just charge the course fee no matter when people show up, and do $5 doubles- you can probably do three rounds in one day.
Anyone considering this- don't miss the opportunity. It's a very fun course!!

I plan on being there all day and it seems if we get a good turnout we will have multiple rounds. Probably do some doubles and singles a few times. I should be there by 8 am to walk the course and take care of anything needed before we all play. Tell your buddies and bring a friend, just remember this is a private course and lets all show them respect and thanks for letting us come out and play. Remember to get directions off of their website since there are detours due to construction. Bring cash for lunch and fees Carpool if possible to save space on parking
Because of the dry weather we are only permitted to smoke in designated areas No drugs or alcohol permitted on the residence If things go well we may get another chance to come back in the future. Thanks for all the feedback and looking forward to a great Labor Day at Cabin Creek.

I'd like to point that a couple hours of clean up will not make this course playable. We've played the course this year and it needs more clean up than has been mentioned in this thread. Unless some one has been clearing the obstacles and growth that's there in the last couple months.
I would not pay to play a course in the condition Cabin Creek was in in April.

Just so you all know, April was a while ago and they have cleaned up the course a lot lately and there are only a few things needed to be taken care of for proper play, which myself and others will have finished in the morning. They are very excited about having us come out and are doing everything they can to make this a great day of disc golf. Please disregard Jay Dubs post, and don't let that discourage anyone from coming out. They will have course maps for us, but I will need someone to bring some scorecards for us,I am with out a printer at the moment.

Please, per their request, no alcohol or drugs on premises and smoking will be in a designated area due to the very dry weather.
