This is going to change from this year on out. From now on we will not be waiting till February and we will have a preliminary schedule ready prior to the PDGA schedule release and we will coordinate with Dayton before either club posts a schedule. Keep in mind each year scheduling gets more difficult as clubs grow and events become more numerous, eventually we will not have the options of compromising like we have and same day event conflicts will be more common. Since our club has such a large player base we do not have to worry about event attendance being hurt by conflicting events. We will never be able to please everyone and choices of where to play continue to grow. Let's all try to make the best of things and plan for the future of our sport and its growth.

Dayton is in line with our state coordinator, we are not. Dayton should not be viewed as opportunistic, but rather applauded for being well organized and prompt in their scheduling, we'll be joining them and the many clubs that publish their schedule in December. The only place competition belongs in Disc Golf  is on the course. If both clubs are successfull, we should have more than enough competitiors to fill all of our events and if we collaborate, we should be able to mitigate overlap so players can compete for both overall series if they so choose. We should be focused on growing the sport and not on ourselves or the past. This club is all about throwind discs, keep the stones in your pocket and off the forums.nono

First CCS of the 2011 Season is this Sunday March 27th at Harbin Park.
For all those that will be joining or renewing their club membership please come early so we have time to handle that.
Check the CCS information under the Events tab for details.

Just checking on the dates for AJ Jolly CCS. One place says April 9th and one says April 23rd. Also, I thought I read somewhere that Oxford CCS was moved to Sun May 15? or is it Sat the 14th?

I was just wondering, I saw the entry fees increased, so is there still a $3 fee for not being a GCFDA member at the CCS's?

Hello all. I was at the Harbin CC yesterday, and it was my first time at an event like that. I am not a member of the GCFDA, and was only charged a $10 entry fee for the Rec division, so there was no $3 non-member fee as far as I was concerned. I will make sure I pay next time if I am not a member by then, but there might have been a fair amount of cash missed out on by not charging.
It was nice to meet all of you that I met, and I look forward to many more CCS events. I'll try to make AJ Jolly.

To be safe just show up on the 9th early and hang out till the 16th. They should be open for camping by then.

Can you say distance competition. Between rounds or after the tournament. Anyone interested?

Due to the conflict with the Kentucky St. tournament the April CCS at A. J. Jolly has be moved to Saturday April 9th.

Dave Marlow CCS director

This makes no sense......David announced this awhile ago and then Adam comes out of the woodwork(March 29th) and announces that it is April 16th.

This second switch is because on the 9th AJ Jolly is having a 5k run, therefore we were told that we could not have a tournament there on that day.

FYI-Non-member fees are waived if it's your first time playing

FYI, I have a few items that where left at the Harbin CCS. Old white long sleeve shirt, towels, Neoprene Water bottle, gloves.
Let me know by AJ Jolly CCS. After that they will be donated or used otherwise.

I seem to be missing a red Nalgene bottle. My name should be scratched in the lid.
