With the Devou CCS about a month away we need to start compiling a list of people that are going to be able to bring a basket for the course. Metal baskets are the first and hopefully only option. So if you have a metal basket you would be able to bring to the devou ccs please post here so we can get a count on what we have. If we cannot get enough metal baskets we will use the other options (cloth.) Please post what make of basket you will be bringing.

OK, Here is what I have right now.
We know Eades is good for two. The Club has three. My basket may not have been the fave at Rapid Run but it Is all metal and double chain.
I spoke with a few people that do not frequent the forums and Fishnet will bring a basket and so will Paul Leisring (older members will know the name).
Jeff, don't you have one.
Even if you have a cloth one, let us know and bring it. Before we worry about having 18 metal double chain baskets we need 18 baskets.

I do have a cloth one and Steve Tharp will be bringing a Metal basket with two sets of chains. So we have a grand total of nine metal baskets, with a month to go I am confident my mach lite can stay in the car, But I will have it need be.

A bit more asking and I found out that Dave M. has a personal basket, he will be bringing four total. Adam Jones has a metal basket, single chains but metal. Ben Shooner plans on being there, and he has a metal basket.
Although we are getting good numbers, we need to have at least 20-22 baskets lined up just in case someone forgets and or is not able to make it.

The Devou CCS is listed at PDGA as a C-Tier? Maybe I'm out of the loop on that news.

Yes Devou parks wanted the tourney to be insured and the cheapest way to insure was to sanction it. More news to come I dont have all the details.

Just wondering why the event being PDGA would make you want to skip it? This was something the club had to do to make the temp course work, and in all reality this could be a sign of things to come. Its only a matter of time before all parks dept. are asking us to insure our events and unless the club can find it's own insurance PDGA is our only option. It will be intersting to see how these effects the turnout will we get less locals who are not PDGA members and will the number of out of towners grow because they can get rated rounds and play a new course. We shall see.

They don't have to. They can still just offer Advanced and Recreational. A TD gets to choose what divisions they want to offer at their PDGA event.

If they dont offer all the proper div then i think the turnout will be less! Im pretty sure nobody wants to donate there money and be forced to play in a division there not in! I know i don't!

I honestly think entry fees are going to make decisions for players more than anything...
Recommended entry fees for a PDGA C-tier are: Open - $40-$50 Advanced - $30 Int/Rec - $20
Plus $2 per person for PDGA fee. Plus $10 non-PDGA member fee. Plus non-GCFDA member fee.
Don't know what kinds of ideas that the club has for those things but that could definitely change your audience.

I believe they are going to try and keep the entry fee the same as the rest of the ccs, just add the two dollar fee and ten more if your not a PDGA member. As for the division's I have no idea what will be offered, simple enough if your in the race in your division dont sign up for one that wasnt offered at the other cc's.

so let me get this straight... I'm going to pay 20 to play for cash, 2 for a club fee(which I understand), and 10 for a pdga fee??? Is this a joke??? For the ones who are going pay for that garbage, just write sucker on your forehead...because that is exactly what you are!
How can you introduce new people to the sport when your taxing the hell out of them?? Gezzz.....you politics need to wake up and come back down to reality.

Nope, you don't have this straight. First, those are recommended entry fees and they could change. Second, you need to pay the $40-50 plus $2 plus $10 if non-pdga member to play for cash.
Advance, Intermediate and Rec still play for plastic

G Strick - I was reading the post above my first one which stated they are going to charge the ccs fee plus the club fee plus the pdga fee. If thats the case, what a rip off!! If we are getting charged the actual 40 or 50, then Im ok with it. I would hate to be getting charged 13 in fees when the ccs entrance fee is 20

I won’t be playing in this due to the Non PDGA member fee. I decided earlier this year that I was going to save a little money and not renew the PDGA membership. If I had made it to more of the previous CCS’s I would have probably forked up the extra $10 or whatever to play. But due to weddings, death in the family, and moving my grandmother to Cincy, I have missed a too many, making playing for the series pointless. However, I might be down to bring a basket and help set up. Just let me know.
