Hey guys I need some opinions , me being a new player and wanting to get a lot better I want to get some help from you better players, I have new disc like the blizzard destroyer and nukes , flx avenger for drivers but I always go way left which is natural turn for a rhbh player, but I'm afraid I can't control these disc . Could you guys tell me some disc I could possible try that's easier to control for a newer player and will go pretty far, and plastic types would you think would be good for me , thanks, Jon

Katana's for driving and Comets for a mid range disc, These both are easy discs to control.

Have you tried fairway drivers like the Teebird? very little to no fade once they get used a bit.

I would go with a Teebird before a Katana.

I'd go with understable discs before you go to discs like katanas, nukes, and destroyers. Averger SS and Valkrie come to mind. These discs will help you to not compensate with bad form to get the disc to do what you want.

mike has it, the newer you are the slower the speed. Speed 13 discs, like the Katana, are not for newer players learning to throw properly. Good luck!

RR or Valk to start then work up to beast orc, then you can bring the nukes back out.

the one thing you always hear from people who know what they are talking about concerning new players is that you want to get really good with mid ranges before even starting to experiment with drivers. A DX Shark is often referred to as the best disc for beginners. You wanna just get a few of those and learn to throw them around 300 ft with good control before moving up. But as a general rule of thumb, as Mike touched on earlier, the less stability and more glide a disc has, the easier it will be to throw far as a beginner, and the less it will "go way left" as you described in your first post. Stop by the Nati disc golf shop at mt. airy forest and they will hook u up with anything and everything you need as well as answer your questions and even show you how to throw properly.
