I will be running a fund raiser tourney for my niece who has epileptic seizures on November 24th. Her name is Amberly Newberry and she was able to get a grant to go to China for schooling through her college in Indiana. The problem is that she will need medicine for the epileptic seizures for the 3 months that she will be out of the country. What I plan on doing is to have the entry fee at $10.00 for the Ams and $20.00 for the pros. $10.00 dollars of each entry will go toward Amberly. $10.00 of the $20.00 for the Pros will go back to the Pros purse plus I will include plastic for the Pros. The tourney will be held at Lincoln Ridge (Banklick). I am working with Dan Bayless on the course layout but it will be fun. More information to come soon. Thank you.

Troy, sounds like a great way to work off the Turkey Dinner poundage...and worthwhile, too! Looks like the OSU/Michigan game goes on the DVR, just like the rest of the season has. But please dial up the weather machine for us: Lincoln Ridge is starting to get into a cold, wet habit this year! --Jeff A.

Hi Brutal! Troy has a bin of discs he & Jerm have earned & don't throw. He might have some 10/10's in there, too (did last I saw). I think they may be going into that bin. He just wants to encourage folks to come on out. He said no matter how much or how little he can raise for his neice, every little bit helps! C'mon out: we're gonna have fun! --Jeff A.

We are in the process of putting all the discs that we are going to include here on this thread and this may take a day or two from now. That way players may see something that they would like and show up. Disc N Dat is also throwing in something so thank you DAN the MAN.

Hey Troy, if I decide not to play--can I just mail you $10? What's your address? Or would you rather I mail it to Disc 'n Dat?

Troy Ison 2909 Lindale Mt. Holly Rd Amelia Ohio 45102. I really appreciate your generosity and I truly hope that you will make it on Saturday. Dan Bayless has also giving his money without knowing if he will make it Saturday. People like this show me how lucky I am to have friends in the disc golf family.

Disc n Dat has donated 6 discs, bag tags and other items to the event (Thanks Dan). The weather is going to be cold but DRY for Saturday so dress in layers. I talked to Amberly's mother last night and she said that Amberly should be there (And hopefully play). She has never played disc golf but she is athletic and should catch on rather quickly.

I want to thank everyone who came out on a COLD and WINDY day. The 13 guys that showed up (Not including myself) were extremly generous with their time and money. They voted to give the ace fund to Amberly ($22.00) and Jared Brumley gave his $40.00 winnings from his Open win to Amberly. A special thanks to Ben Culshaw who won the ace fund at the Black Friday tourney at Cabin Creek and gave the $65.00 to Amberly. Jeff Armstrong gave some extra $$$ also which was very appreciated. Dan Bayless gave his $10.00 entry fee earlier in the week along with 7 new discs and some bag tags but was unable to make it so "Thank you Dan"! Amberly came out with her mother Laura and played the 1st round with us and thanked the whole group personally.
