Please spread this information to all high school disc golfers you know:

On May 11, Kenton County Parks & Recreation will be hosting the 11th Annual High School Disc Golf Championships at Lincoln Ridge Park (aka Banklick) in Independence, KY. There were only 16 players last year and 11 players two years ago, down from a high of 53 players in 2009, so the tournament is in danger of not happening again if not enough players show up this year. The tournament will consist of one round of 24 holes. There will be both individual and team formats, but you don't have to have a team to compete. For teams, you must have a minimum of (but you can have as many as you want) 5 players (boys) or 4 players (girls) from one school to compete for the traveling team trophy and other prizes. Everyone will compete individually for trophies and prizes. Registration is $20, and all players will get a golf disc (pre-registrants will also get a disc golf t-shirt). PDGA rules will apply, but current membership is not required.

Schedule:
11AM to Noon - Check-in
12:30 - player's meeting
12:45 - tee-off

To pre-register and for other questions, contact Steve Trauger at (859) 525-PLAY (7529)

Let's help keep this event possible by getting as many high schoolers to attend as possible!
