Hey. I'm looking for a partner. If Any Ams would like to play with me, just let me know. I'm new to the sport this year, but I have been getting better every tournament.

Haven't played this one in a while, is usually fun though. Has the format been decided upon (number of holes and OB setup)? Nati site doesn't list it at this point.

AMS and PROS will be playing 2 rounds of 24............... Pros will be doing Long Tees Long Baskets both rounds with IDLEWILD OB's. AMS will be doing IDLEMILD OB's. AM layout has yet to be decided. Thinking One round shorts and One Round Longs. Maybe both rounds shorts if it fills up.

I want one long at least. That's where shots are lost and gained should go one long and one short.

There will be at least one Round of longs for AMS......... Per time Round 2 will probably be shorts......... Ryan if the field caps at 48 Teams 18 original would be fun but out of the question.

BTW 10 AM Teams in so far!!!! Get signed up now and don't get stuck on that waiting list.........

Is there anything in place for baggers? Last year there were teams in intermediate that actually beat everybody in advance and i see this year some of those people have signed up for intermediate again. I understand if your not sure if you are an intermediate player or advanced and play as intermediate or even if you dont know that you beat the advanced players because you never looked at results. So after showing results and they have beaten the advance players shouldnt that be automatically put into advanced.

I guess what im saying is they may not be baggers they just may not know they are advanced players and does anybody look at previous years to make sure people are in the correct divisions

I am not expressing an opinion about the above comments....just a comment:

I believe intermediate played short pads and advanced long pads last year.

I've been watching all the players signing up. Yes I agree that some of the teams should be playing up a division especially in doubles. But everyones rating justifies them playing in the division they are currently playing in. The downfall to disc golf and the rating system, there will always be baggers.

I totally agree with you lingo the rating system def hurts intermediate. I wish there was a better system for this but looks like there is nothing we could do, my point is just look at the score, the first place intermediate team shot a 75 first round and advanced shot an 86. There are only 5 holes that have longs and I would say two of them are the same pars but even if you add a stroke for all five thats 5 strokes and intermediate first place team beat advanced by 11 strokes. My thought was just first round you see those scores you should have to move up second round. I am not saying that they are even bagging they actually may not even know they are shooting that good or are having a great day just think there should be a system in place for that.

Also if you look the team that finished second place in intermediate moved up to advance this year which is great but there are still people signed up for intermediate this year that finished even better then them.

Totally agree with you that the existence of baggers sucks. In my experience, the best way to get people to move into the appropriate division is through lighthearted public shaming.

If I remember right, the cut between Intermediate and Advanced used to be more like 915 instead of 935. There were still baggers then, but it was much more people who wouldn't move up to Open and would just bag in Advanced. Seems like, as far as I can tell, that the bagging has shifted to Intermediate.
