I lost my silver wedding band on the course today. If anyone did find it please call me at 513-608-4189. Thank you, Troy Ison.

Holy crud, Troy! So sorry that happened! Had to have been on the front nine, 2nd round...but you had gloves on most of the time. Do you remember when they might have come off? We could narrow it down. Or near the shelter / parking lot more likely?

Please, if anybody can help...? Thanks!

Scores for today are posted. Because of the conditions I chose to give credit to those that finished a full round. These people have a total that lets them all be tied together for the same points. Those that left before one round have a full DNF. I felt it was fair.

Just a few notes about today. We started with 80 people, 41 finished both rounds. Rec and Open had the most DNFs. All four of the Open players that finished, cashed. In Rec, we would have paid 15 people, but 13 finished. It was an interesting day to be sure, hopefully we have better weather at A.J. Jolly.

This may sound like a stupid question... but did you look in your gloves troy the same thing happened to a friend a mine a while back. He was hunting and thought he lost his ring, and a couple weeks later he went hunting again and the ring was stuck in the finger of the glove.

I don't think that's fair. If you didn't finish two rounds of a tournament you didn't finish, period. 50% of the people did finish in horrible conditions. I don't see why you should get credit for a partial. Doesn't seem fair to those that finished 2 rounds or those that didn't finish the first round. Just my 2 cents.

Not trying to sound like a dick but I'm sure this will be taken that way. If you made it through the whole first round you definitely deserve to have the round count. The conditions were the worst I've played. That's coming from someone who played and finished all 4 icebowls this year. I chose not to play 2nd round because I was cold and didn't want to get sick. Disc Golf doesn't pay my bills and if I miss work it's kind of a big deal. For those that stayed you are truly better people than me. That's my 2 cents.

more than likely if one of the people plays well enough to be contending in their division, they will probably be dropping this score anyway. So I don't think it really matters either way. Also since the first round was worse than the second it kinda seems fair to give them some points. None of them took home any prizes.

We will keep with how we have always done it.

@Tony please adjust the points so that anyone that did not finish, regardless of when, show their final place as all previous events have been done. Also remove the 200 for those that did try, keep it as we have done. A DNF is a DNF, regardless of how many holes where completed. Just because the weather was horrible, it should not change how we figure final standings series points.
I was actually shocked to see such a great turnout but not so much for the DNF's. Special thanks to those that helped out and made it go as smoothly as possible, Tony, Drew, Troy, Jeff, Bob, Mike, and others. Sorry guys about leaving the 2013 awards at home, I was able to get them at lunch for those still around after the 2nd round. Will have them at the next CCS at AJ Jolly on Sunday April 27th.

@Travis Braig: I accidentally gave you Travis Woods 2013 award, please return it to me or any GCFDA Officer so we can get it to Mr.Wood. My Bad guys...

I just found my ring in my glove (Thanks Brock for the tip). I appreciate the response and know that my disc family really cares about each other.

Time to get that ring resized, huh Troy? Great times playing, thanks to all that Played any of that tournament. It was tough to be fully prepared. Spring golf arrives...

And to what Phil said above, I encouraged folks to quit that we're shivering visibly before the first round was over. Hypothermia is nothing to mess with. I hit the Laundromat dryers between rounds or I too would have left over safety concerns. Wet isn't so bad, cold isn't so bad, together they can be dangerous. And anybody that takes what Phil said as him being a Jerk...look in the mirror, because the jerk would be you.

I am fortunate enough to live 10 min away....got to go home...put on dry clothes and boots and come back. If I didn't live so close, I would have never made the second round...I was soaked to the bone and frozen almost solid. That was the first tourney I've played in years...picked a good one huh?!

Looking back I wished I would've came back, but when two people you came with are done, not a whole lot you can do.

I've played in a lot of bad weather over the years, but that was the most miserable I've ever been. It wasn't the rain, wind, or cold....but all three together. Once all your towels are wet, there's no way of getting any traction between your thumb and the top of threw disc. Eventually the inside of my "water proof"gloves got damp and out was all over. I was going to dry my stuff at laundromat by Skyline before 2nd round, but my 13-yr old son was 'done'. Plus, NCAA basketball and a fireplace was calling.

I came "prepared" in my rain pants and jacket...didn't help when my hands pruned up from all the moisture...the only thing that kept me around were the rare saturdays off from work and the the fact that I paid money to be there...can't hate on anyone that left, I was one of the few dumb enough to stay lol

I have the following at The Nati or any GCFDA event to be picked up:
2013 FPO Bag Tags:  Gerry Stricker, Glenn Murray, Tom English, Eric Mondino
2013 FPO Dry Fit Shirts:  Dave Cox

2013 CCS Awards remaining:  1st - Ron Godbey, Ken Strangerity, Patty Francis
2nd - Dave Cox, Joe Rott, Peter Bovat
3rd - Steve Mahl, Jason Mullins, James Rucker
And one 2012 award for Mike Kemner that was on back order.

We have a few extras of the Tags (3) at $10, goes towards the FPO, and a few shirts, 1=2XL, 2=L, 2=M for $15 each.

Next CCS is at AJ Jolly on Sunday the 27th.

Can someone help me get a hold of Travis Braig and get Travis Woods 2013 CCS award from him please, thanks.

FYI - My 2nd round score is wrong on the results page. Should be 52 not 62.
