If anyone is on the fence about playing in our first annual Freezer "Bow"l BYOP doubles tomorrow, here is some incentive for you. And, since this is a fund raiser for Save our Shelter dogs, ALL pay outs will be in CASH(less 10% for admin fees). So, come on out and support a great cause. Even if you don't want to play come out and have a cup of hot chocolate by the fires(one outside and one inside) and enjoy the beauty that is Mt Airy in the winter. Thanks, The Nati Disc Golf.

I was wondering, do you have to be at all of the freezer bowl series to join in> I have a buddy that is down to go to 2/1 Doubles at idlewild and i was not in the first series. Does it matter or do we just show up and pay 40 dollars and then play a round at idlewild.

Yea, Pat just show up with your buddy and prepare to be schooled by Idlewild. It's not a series. Hope to see you there.

I was wondering the same thing. Are we playing 18 long or are we playing 24 long? or is this more casual and they are playing 18 short. Hard to say but i have never played Idlewild in the shorts.  I also have never only played just 18 at idlewild. always play the letters. shout

also looks like we might have cold weather on 2/1 cold  If there is snow on the ground do we need to get some people with shovels out there early and salt some pads. idea

Ill also be playing advanced with my buddy Scott so to all of you in my amature class duel

Just went out there today with my buddy to get some practice in since I haven't played there in a few years but was planning on playing the freezer bowl there. Just wondering what a good score would be for a rec doubles pair playing all 24 in the long positions

Results from the KY State Doubles played in September 2013:
http://www.pdga.com/tour/event/16044

Round One was from the long baskets, long tees. 81 was the low score for intermediate (which is as low as divisions usually are listed in doubles).
I would call a decent score in the mid-80's. Now, the conditions in mid-September were definitely different than early February. :)

Since we will only be playing one round it will be from the longs and 24 holes. More bang for your buck. The awards will be at Wyatts bar n grill which is on hwy 18, same shopping strip as ameristop. Someone from Save our shelter dogs will be there. Any help shovels g the tee pads will be appreciated. Keep receipts for salt and I will refund your money. Drew Miller will hopefully be running it for me since I am opening a barber shop and will be working g on Saturdays. I should be ther for the awards though.

I will be headed out to Idlewild on Thursday probably around 9 AM or 10AM. My partner and i will be playing just like we would on Saturday. Feel free to join us or give us a call. Thursday is supposed to be pretty good in weather at 35 being the high and sunny. Call me at 513-252-1819 if you feel like going to disc it up at the hardest course in the Cincinnati area.

I didn't make it to the last freezer bowl, but is the payout like any other tournament or is this something different?

Thanks Fred. Good luck with the Barber shop.

Drew, The Nati Freezer "Bow"l is a cash pay out to all divisions less 10% for admin fees. $5.00 from each entry fee goes towards Save our dogs shelter.com foundation and the $5.00 for 3 Mulligan per team goes to them as well. Hope you can make it. By the way, its Idlewild so you better bring your A game.

By the way Adam is it possible for the club to match what you donate to the crazy series to the nati freezer bowl? Our four legged friends need some loving too. Thanks

I am fine with the Club making the same type of donation, $1 per player for all that attend all the events. I would like to hear from all the members about this since it is a members decision. I have created a poll for Facebook and it is on my personal FB page and on the GCFDA FB page or you can click this link and take it.  apps.facebook.com/my-polls/ixxil

Please take a minute and answer the poll and help us spread the word, final decision will be made on friday night after we get as many responces as possible, Thanks everyone for all the help in these events.

ps. Fred, I will not be able to be there or help on Saturday, sorry bud, wish I could.

Just an FYI...My brother and his partner for Saturday were out cleaning off tee pads last night. I think they told me they didn't get to 16, 11, 4, 12, 13 and 14. Hopefully patrickmorgan12 can get the rest, otherwise let us know and I will get out there Friday to finish them up

I just found out I am off this Saturday and would like to play in this event. TurboTeg, I can play either int. or adv, however we might be better suited in int, idlewild tears me up lol. That is, if you still need a partner.

Thanks to everyone that showed up for the Nati Freezer "Bow"ls. We raised $500.00 for Save Our Shelter Dogs.com. Not including the clubs contribution(if it got approved). They were very appreciative and needed the donation.
Thanks again. Hope to see you again next year.
