It is too late to get paired up with a teammate. However, it is not too late to qualify. Play a min of 3 league nights w/leaguers and then you'll get paired up w/a partner to make a team for the next league you sign up for. Look under "Events>Leagues" for the schedule. Every Wed. night at 6:30. Forward me your email if you would like signup deadlines and reminders when the time comes.

The sign-up deadline for summer league is Sunday, June 15. If you qualified this spring, you can sign up for summer.
Hopefully summer league will be like the spring league with a race to the finish and a lot players.
David.

Spectators are welcome. You can join a group if you like. Players in this years summer league have a wide range of skill levels, from beginner to experienced. You can join/watch whatever group you like. We start b/w 6:15 and 6:30.

To give you an idea of the scores. Of the players that were there, only one person was below par with a 53. Most everyone else was below 64.

The best score that I have heard out there was -3 on 9 holes. But I only heard that once...

Hello All,
Get ready for it...wait for it...here it is...Its time for the GCFDA Spring League. The signup deadline for this league is Wednesday, March 4th. All wanting to play Spring League MUST let me know by then. I have to have averages ready for the league meeting so partners can be drawn. Help me get the word out to those who do not have email.
The league meeting will be SATURDAY March 7 at noon (12 PM) at Embshoff. I am thinking a round or two (draw doubs?) followed by a meeting at Maloney's. Please note this is a change from the past. Remember, competition does not have to begin the following Wednesday. We did not begin play until the 2nd week after the time change last year. This year's time change is March 8. Start date will be voted on at the meeting.
Those not wanting to attend the meeting, I will email the schedule as usual.

David, I sent you a PM about adding events and also feel free to edit the text on the right hand column as you now have that ability too now.

Does anyone know if they put the basket back in on 1,3, & 4? If they did....why? Condoleza Rice could catch more discs with her teeth then those chains....I don't understand how Hamilton County can take such good care of Woodland and just let the baskets rust out and the tees sink into the ground at Embshoff & Whitewater....you know...that would be a good use of this economic stimulus package, baskets are made in the U.S. and so are Vibram tee pads.....I think I'll write them a letter....I'm sure it will just end up in a compost pile but I'll give it a shot.

There has to be at least 3 qualifying rounds. It doesn't matter which weeks you come out to. Once you have 3 then you can participate in the next league. You are welcome to come out to more than this and we'll find a group for you to join in.
If you come out to Woodland, there will be a lot of casual players about so come over and introduce yourself. We will have players standing near the first tee around 6pm waiting for their groups to show. You'll also spot bags, etc that should stand out from the casuals. Ask for Dave Wright - our league coordinator.

Is Woodland Mound still on for tonight (because of the rain)? Also, if I am new and am trying to get my 3 rounds in to establish an average, do I still have to pay the league fee for the session?

kylcrow - yes, they'll still play Leagues tonight at Woodland; usually play only gets suspended for lightning and then starts up after lightning passes through. No, you just play along with a group to get your average with no fee. Fee is when you actually participate in League play with a partner. Hope that helps and have fun. I always enjoyed leagues alot. Too bad I don't have the time to play them anymore.

We do not know what the summer schedule is until the summer meeting. This is where we will pick teams. Based on number of teams, will be the number of weeks for the season. Then we will decide where to go each week.
