There we go. Thanks Rangel!! What with the move, that's the sort of stuff I was expecting people to run across.

Fred & RAngel, your problem was the same. It's related to email notifications... Thought it was working the other day but I must have missed something. It should be working now. :rosey

Another issue was reported in the emailing of feedback under the gcfda and the emailing of the membership form. Both those have been fixed as well.

Updated event listing with regional PDGA events. Found nothing for Lousiville. Removed some old users from the msg board that have 0 posts and haven't been on in > 1 year. Found another error concerning email notification. Couple other minor updates. 2 hours :digsnow
I've even been looking at the Idlewild pics... all 234 of them. I forgot how many there are. :wow Couple comments on the pictures... Some good pictures to take would be: #11 basket - hardly see the water behind it, #14 short tee, #15 basket looking back, #16 long placement (the other old long placement was taken), and #17 basket looking back.

Paul, thanks for getting up the Idlewild pic.s.
the second basket pic for hole 2 is a bad link. (the one showing the new long pin location across the pond) i was really looking forward to that one :) [Admin: Fixed]
a new pic of hole 16's tee would be nice (the one now doesn't show the opened up anhyzer route)
not sure about pic.s looking backwards. (unless they are flagged as being pic.s looking backwards that is ;-)

Idlewild pictures - 3 hours. Time to go through each, resize to roughly 8.5 x 11 (standard paper size), cropped areas that do not reflect on the hole itself, labeled and decided which pictures to use, posting, and changing the webpage to reflect additonal views that were added.
Course map page - 4 hours. No comments about this one yet. Incorporating Google maps, I have setup an interactive map page. This allows panning, zooming, switching to satellite view, etc. You will not see this page unless you have a compatible browser. If not, you will continue to see the old map. Course map co-ordinates determined.
Map co-ordinates (Latitude, Longitude) update to PDGA. 1 Hour.

Paul-
Is there a different basket icon that you can use on the Google Maps hack?
The one that you are currently using is VERY difficult to see, especially if you have no idea of where you are going, or are in hybrid mode.
Obviously, it's a low priority thing..., but, it's a thing.
Thx. Keith

Strange, I know I fixed that. The update must have been lost when I was messing with the pictures. It's there now. If you don't see it, hit refresh.

Ive been asked to turn anonymous posting back on. Im leaning towards trying it again for awhile but will not hesistate to disable it if personal attacks or inappropriate language arise. Comments?

Keep it registered - if you can't take ownership of your comments, go outside and talk to a tree.

what is the rationale being used to justify anonymous posting? i used it a few times to be "Concerned's Fan" or when i wanted to make a point without someone prejudging what i would say by thinking; "here goes Rob J again" :) -- but the downside is that some people will abuse it.
i suppose the upside might be that it would empower some people to speak their mind without worrying about upsetting the inner-clique's apple cart...
plus, i do miss "Concerned" :)

You summed the reasons up pretty well Rob.

Winton results 1 hour. Course challenge dates updates to this website, DaytonDiscGolf, OhioDiscGolf.org - 1 hour. Other updates to OhioDiscGolf including course ratings, pictures, etc. - 1 hour.
I saw a message somewhere about updating the DISCussion Board Calendar. It's not something that I've ever used. Personally, I like seeing a straight list in a lot of ways but this would make weekly events more obvious without hiding what's coming up on a weekend.

Note to Administrator, The home page does not seem to have any of the usual hotbuttons along the top (Courses, Discussion Board, Leagues, etc....). In case it helps I use IE 6.0. Thanks, Jason

I am testing out a new set of buttons. Have you done a refresh? Yes, the version is good to know. Strange thing is that I tested this with IE 6 at home and work and it looks ok.

How does one measure the distance on a dogleg hole?

I found this over on PDGA.COM. It's not official, but made a lot of sense in the thread.
"Distance on a hole should be measured from tee to pin along the shortest intended route that can be played by the typical player of the skill level a tee to pin combination is designed for.
That means a dogleg where Rec players cannot typically throw over it and take a short cut, should be measured following the dogleg route. I usually measure about 10 feet away from the corner of the dogleg but the difference is minimal if you measure to the point of the dogleg with no flightway offset. If the same dogleg will be played by Gold level players from the Gold tee and the trees creating the dogleg corner are not too high, then I would measure a more direct line if a good percentage will cut across the dogleg route. "
About Idlewild #4. I think this person would agree to adding the distance to the new basket to the original distance.

Paul, I discovered today that when i go to the "courses" page, if i click on a course link before the map starts to load the page doesn't freeze up on me. Thanks for updating distance info on hole 4. On 14 there are two links to the same basket picture and none of the short tee. Did you get that pic from 14 short tee i sent to you from Fred's house a month or so ago? maybe the second basket pic accidentally got fed there instead?

How about a different way to attract someones attention on the message board when they have a message If they don't have email up. It doesn't really get your attention the way it is now. How about a flashing box or bigger text, etc?

I am color blind and I don't pay much attention to it unless I happen to be looking at it.

There was an error appearing this morning regarding out of disc space. I've gone through and done a little cleanup so we should be ok for awhile.

There's still some errors coming up for me, especially when trying to post a new topic. See the GUTS thread in "Informal Events"...
