I will be meeting with Mr. Parker again this Saturday and plan on clearing debris afterward for a few hours. Plan on being there from 12 till probably 4 or so. Might squeeze a round in after, depends on weather.

Slight change of plans, Larry will not be able to meet this weekend but I gave him a quick run through of the proposed new layouts for 5 and 6, he sounded a bit excited about them so this should go smoothly. I will be meeting with Lou who is in charge of the maintenace crews and show him the layouts and we should be ready soon to move em. Hopefully on the March 18th clean-up day. Not sure exact time I will be meeting with Lou yet and since it looks like rain all day I won't really decide if its worth being out there till it happens.
Oh and Paul if ya could post a short thingy about the 18th on the main page for me that be great March 18th from 12-4pm. thanks
Laters Adam
Oh and if anyone wants to hit up Burnett soon and get a karma boost, there's plenty of tree debris to pick up there as well.

I will around later today if anyone plans on headin to Airy, most likely after 12. Ciyas later Adam

Just wanted to give a big THANKS to all that helped out Sunday, Looks like we got just about all the trash there was out there.
The parks dept. have scheduled a tree service to come out early this week to take care of a few dangerous trees that are down.
I am waiting to move 5 and 6 till Larry gets a few new baskets in and sleeves. He was going to order those last week. One of which I would like to use for hole 9 at Burnett.
Next large work day won't be till after BG guys. I have completed a rough draft of what alot of us have talked about in the past as far as improving the course. Gonna try and get that typed up and sent to the Park guys very soon. Then with their help we wll be doing a hole by hole renovation for the rest of the year.

Here's a quick update:
April 28th is the Lexington Open which, just as last year, is the same day as Cincinnati Parks Green-up day. After talking with Larry Parker about that weekend he suggested we coordinate on a following weekend to allow more club volunteers to attend and help out, and allow more availability of Park crews and equipment since they will be extremely busy with the 200+ volunteers throughout the City Parks.
I will be competing in Lexington and will be looking for someone to take charge of our side of volunteers if we have a few that want to help out at the Green-up. Please send me a pm or call and let me know how many we may have coming out to help.
I believe the Green-up day takes place at 9 am till bout 3pm with pizza and shirts provided by the park. The check in is at the large Oval Pavilion left at the entrance from colerain just past the new Tree house(if you haven't seen it you definetly should take time to visit).
I have submitted a hole by hole renovation list which we will be undertaking very soon.

Been a couple years since I've played Airy (before holes 7 and 8 were moved in 06) The pictures and map on this website don't reflect this change do they?

Adam, can you find out if there is a way to get those holes back in? I am willing to do the work all by myself, if necessary. :banghead2

If at all possible I would like to uhmm persuade all DGr's to stay off Airy till this weekend to allow it time to dry out a bit and maybe see if I can get the Park to spread some mulch around for us. Thanks yall

Adam, why don't you ask for gravel for a more permanent solution. I think gravel would be a good club investment if Mt Airy can't come through with some. Mulch doesn't last and only causes more probelms down the line.
