If it rains pretty good Tuesday the ace fund will be cancelled again. It looked like Heritage park does not handle rain very well. Not enough grass and lots of loose dirt in the low areas will make it a mud pit. Will post here by noon for final decision.

I will be bringing the range finder with me today so if anyone wants to really know how far they can throw come out early. I will try to be there around 4:30. We will be at AJ Jolly.

6 PM should give us plenty of time if we play in threesomes. We started late because of the crosscountry meet at AJ and finished in time. Most of us anyway.

No aces recently, I think the pot is up around 150 or so...
Next week we are moving to a 5:30 start - it was pretty dark for the last 2 groups out at Jolly tonight, and we played quickly.
I ended at -8, I think there was a pro at -9, and that's all I know...
I can't wait for the CC...

The ace fund is now capped at $200.00 and there's about $15 in another one. If no ace is hit next week we will be moving the ace fund to Saturdays starting on November 4th(with the exceptiion of the banklick course challenge, of course). We will start at Mt Airy and move around from there. I will start a new thread for the Saturday ace fund then.

We will be meeting tonight for the last Tuesday of the year(provided it's not raining). Tee off at 5:30. I plan on having an ace fund throw off on Saturday October 28th at AJ Jolly. The throw off will be for HALF THE POT, if no one hits an ace this evening. (The remainder of the pot will go towards the new Saturday ace fund starting at Mt Airy on November 11 at 11:00).
Before the throw off,on Oct 28, we will play AJ one more time for the ace fund. Tee off at 10:00. The throw off will consist of throwing 5 shots at a basket with 4 rings around the basket and each ring counts for a certain amount of points. There will be two tee areas that will be used, Amateur and Adv/Pro. The kicker is you have to throw it across the lake at the basket. The tee area is on the hill by hole #6 and the basket will be by the shelter across the lake. The top 5 will win cash money.
If you haven't played in any ace funds you are still welcome to participate but it will cost you $6.00. Lunch is provided at no cost to anyone. Then we will have a distance and MTA competetion and crown a new King in Northern Kentucky (KINKY) champion. Bring your friends/students and family and have some fun watching those frisbees soar.
SCHEDULE FOR SATURDAY OCTOBER 28 AT AJ JOLLY PARK Divisions for all events are: Amateur, Advanced, Pro **THE THROW OFF WILL COUNT TOWARD THE OVERALL KINKY CHAMPIONSHIP SO YOU MUST COMPETE IN ALL EVENTS TO BE CROWNED KINKY CHAMPION**
10:00 - Disc Golf (1 round) 12:00 - Lunch - Ace fund throw off 2:00 - Distance/MTA competetion 4:00 - Crown 2006 KINKY champion
RAIN DATE WILL BE SATURDAY NOVEMBER 11.

If you plan on coming to KINKY I have made some changes so read carefully. CHANGES ARE IN CAPS
Before the throw off,on Oct 28, we will play AJ one more time for "HALF" the ace fund, so that in case it gets hit there will be ace fund money left for the throw off. The throw off will consist of throwing 5 shots at a basket with 4 rings around the basket and each ring counts for a certain amount of points. The tee area is on the hill by hole #6 and the basket will be by the shelter across the lake. TWO ROUNDS FIVE THROWS PER ROUND - The top 5 TOTAL POINT WINNERS will win cash money.
If you haven't played in any ace funds you are still welcome to participate but it will cost you **$16.00. COST IS $11.00 FOR EVERYONE THAT HAS PARTICIPATED ONCE DURING THE YEAR, $11.00 FOR ONE EVENT OR ALL EVENTS ** Lunch is provided at no cost to anyone.

I guess my question is and has been: Why, after the ace fund was held all year on a Tuesday, is this done on a Saturday? I'll be in Bowling Green, others are off to Chillecothe. Have fun trying to bag any ace money I put in there. Now, I can't complain. I've won more than my fair share of plasic this year. I got my money's worth. Has this been played off on a Saturday in the past? Was there notice earlier in this thread, that I may have missed, about how the throw-off was going to be handled? Point being, my Tuesdays have been open all year, but Saturdays are another question. Do any other Tuesday regulars feel this way? Can I play for entry minus my ace pool buck next year?

I can answer this for you Russ.
Because there's not enough light left on Tuesday.
Because the "NEW" Winter ACE Fund is going to be Saturday through the time change.
I dig it that there will be a chance to play competitive golf all winter at least once a week. Sorry you won't be there Russ, but kick some *** in BG.

Russ, I think this will be the 4th KINKY and I decided to combine the ace fund throw off with it. KINKY originally started as my birthday celebration by having a small overall tournament on my birthday weekend. Last year I had to cancel it because of I couldn't find an open weekend. This year I just said the hell with it. Ace fund throw off's have always been on Saturdays. The last few years there hasn't been enough in the ace fund to throw off for. There should be $250.00 in the pot on Sarturday. Sorry you can't make it, you are missing a fun time. Cheap too. Kevin, IF IT IS STILL RAINING SATURDAY MORNING KINKY WILL BE CANCELLED AND RESCHECDULED FOR NOV 11. CHECK HERE FOR FINAL DECISION ON FRIDAY NIGHT, AROUND 10:00.

I hope the rain stops, you know I don't get the chance to try and get KINKY that often.

Pete, I'm just hoping for better conditions so you don't have any excuses when I crush you in all the events. By the way were you at the course challenge last week, I didn't see your name anywhere. Did you cash?
Bring it, on November 11 mister.
It's too bad we were on the same team tonight cause I was looking forward to lay the smack daddy on you. I was prepared to dive for a catch even. I had a great time, though. Next week you're going down in hoops.
