They ordered the baskets this week. So did Amelia. We have to get back in contact with the park guy to set the course before they actually install the baskets.

I was camping this past weekend @ Pike Lake and asked Jeff Boester (Park manager) if anything had been done @ Rocky Fork. He said he was looking at a different area to put the course. I believe he said that the baskets were purchased but, thats all the progress made.

On the Chili website there's talk again about an install this spring/summer. Also, some talk about Cowan Lake.

We are going to start clearing and installing in a week or two. We also want to do concrete tee pads while installing the course. A bridge needs built and so on.

sounds awesome! JTM, is the course going to be in a different part of the park than was originally planned?

South Beach. The first and fourth holes shoot over water. Then into the woods for 6 holes with some nice elevation changes and a couple holes following along side the lake.

As of Saturday 8/11/2007.
The bridge is built and 95% of the clearing in the woods is done. Easy to navigate through...just follow the path.
10 baskets installed , no tee pads or signs yet.
Before anybody throws a fit ------
Hole 3 pin placement will have an alternate placement for tournaments inland about 30 feet. Otherwise players would have to cross the fairway of 3 to get to 12.
Hole 1 can be played around the water or over the water. Your choice.
Hole 4 will have a drop zone even for tournaments for OB in the water or if you do not wish to throw over the water. You will go to the drop zone with a 2.
All water and pavement is OB. Any disc landing byond the "No Trespassing" signs is OB.

I have already had people calling from the course wanting to know where to tee off from and how to get around! Hopefully it will be completed soon.

Like any new course being installed changes are always made. What was going to be hole #1 is now going to be hole 8 or 9. Of course nothing is final until the tee signs are up. So right now if you go that way, play it how you like. Regular tees will be concrete and short tees will be marked with bricks and dirt tees when completed.
Hole 1 is now going to be in the open field to the left.

Nope. As you can see, there are several holes without targets. When it has marked tees and a complete set of targets, I'll mention it here. However, if you're in the area and are the type of person who likes to look around at works in progress, those photos should serve as a guide. And if you want to stay informed, feel free to visit the chillicothe message board.
