Edgewood Electric is sponsoring a Masters only disc golf tournament at Idlewild. The new date is June 10 and 11th, 2006. It was originally set for June 17 and 18. The date of 17 and 18 conflicted with the Pittsburg tournament and the PDGA asked me to change our date. Not a problem. Make sure you put this tournament on your schedule(if you qualify, that is) it should be lots of fun. All pro masters divisions will be offered and Master and Grandmaster in Am. Must have 4 to open a division. Thanks

Fred shot a 66 from the Longs today, beating Gravelman by 3 strokes. not that it counts (except to me) -- gravelman beat Fred by 1 on the back 9 :)

Don't worry, Pete just has not-quite-old-man syndrome. Should take, what, about a year and a half to cure, Pete?....

Sounds like you're going to have a heck of a field with those names, Fred. I hope you get some more.

I don't think Pete will play Masters until he's at least 48. He's got too much game for us old guys and by then he should be over the guilt of giving us crap for playing masters. No way will he play masters when he turns 40. Nick, hope to draw a few bigger names if I can. I'm calling in a few favors owed to me.

Insight cable will be filming the golf vs disc golf challenge on Friday June 9 at Boone Links. They will air it several times a day once it is completed. Not sure when. Doug Aulick is working on it. Come out and have a beer and watch the challenge if you get the chance. It should be fun. More later.

I would like to invite all Adopt-a-holee's to the Masters at Idlewild party to be held on Saturday night June 10th at John Behymers estate just a Wraith and a KC Roc's throw from Idlewild. 4842 Idlewild Road. John's house is behind the house by the road. Take gravel road to the party. We will be setting up a DDC court, a few temp holes on his beautiful property, corn hole(you can't beat me) and other disc games for your enjoyment. I'm sure he will have a bonfire later in the evening. Free food and drinks for all(your girlfriend or wife is invited as well) but you must RSVP so we know how much food to prepare. The party will start immediately after the 2nd round is complete. This party is in appreciation for all the work the adopt a holees have put into Idlewild. Making it one of the best courses in the country. Anyone helping with course work or the tournament is invited as well.

Younger adopt-a-holers will be assessed a cover charge to attend, the older guys will then pocket the money.
just kidding -- he meant all adopt-a-holers of course :)

Brian Ard and I played yesterday that Da Wild. This is the first time we had been there in about a year. WOW....that place has changed a lot in that time. Who ever did the wall on 2 and 16, my hats off....looks freakin sweet! And now the basket has been moved on 10 back like 60ish more feet. So was the hole not hard enough yet?? INDEED But yeah, just want to say, the place looks great!

Can't make it Rob - so many other things in life just keep interfering with tournaments for me to play in. Last tourney I was able to play in was either Big Boone or Bowling Green in April - I can't remember which one was later. I was really hoping I could make this one. I don't get to play Idlewild that often, let alone in tourney conditions, so wanted to, but nooo. I'm trying to find time to just get out and throw a few holes anytime.
